Chapter 27 - Rose

Time Skip - Two days

I smile a bit sitting up in my hospital bed. I get to go home today. "Rose!" Keeho shouts walking in. I smile more and wave to him, the bandage on my wrist pulling at my skin. "How are you feeling?"

"Tired," I whisper. I stand up and walk to my clothes. I grab out a hoodie and a pair of jeans. I walk to the bathroom. I change quickly, with the door open since I'm not allowed to have it shut. I look at myself in the mirror and sigh. "Where's Maddy?"

"She's talking to the doctor, they're discussing if you should go to the loony bin or not," Keeho says. I walk out of the bathroom and stare at him.

"I would prefer not to go to the loony bin," I say quietly.

"I know," Keeho walks over to me and wraps his arms around me. He holds me tight. "I'm so incredibly glad you're okay, you know that?"

"Mhm," I wrap my arms around him. "I'm glad I'm still here." The words I say linger.

"Me too," Keeho says after a second.

"Okay so," Maddy says walking in, Keeho turns us around so he can look at her. I laugh and push him away gently, then stand next to him. "You can come home, but you have to stay with someone."

"Okay accepted," I say instantly. "I'll just stay with you."

"You can't," Maddy shakes her head. "I'll be out and about too much, running errands outside of the building. You need to stay with someone who can babysit you." I frown.

"She can stay with me," Keeho nods. Maddy shakes her head.

"You leave too often for workouts," Maddy says. "They said your husband should look after you." Keeho furrows his brows and looks at me.

"Husband?" He blinks.

"Well okay," I laugh a bit. "Theo wanted to see me the day it happened and the doctor wouldn't let him in so Maddy said he was my husband..." Keeho turns to Maddy.

"You let Theo see her but not me?" His voice is dripping with hurt. "Seriously?"

"It was a in the moment thing Keeho, nothing personal," Maddy says softly.

"Right," Keeho looks away from her. The tension is thick. "So you're staying with Theo then?"

"I don't know," I look at Maddy. She raises her eyebrows.

"That's the only person you can stay with," she says. "Either that or a manager, but that would be awkward."

"Gross yeah," I laugh and look at Keeho. He looks mad. "Keeho why are you so upset?"

"I'm not." He says stern. "I'll see you guys back at the dorms," he turns to me and pokes my forehead. "I bought cookies and cream ice cream for you."

"Awe thank you," I smile a bit, he smiles a bit too. He looks back to Maddy and his smile fades. I purse my lips together as Keeho walks out.

"Is he gonna stay mad at me forever?" She walks over to me.

"No clue," I tuck hair behind my ear. "I hope not." Maddy sighs and pats my shoulder. She then turns and grabs my bags. She picks up the stars on the table. "Does Theo know I'll be staying with him?"
