Rose's POV:

"What's on the sign?" I ask Jiung as he walks over to me. He plays the white poster down. "Are you trying to write in Spanish?" I ask him with a small smile.

"Well yeah I mean," Jiung sits down by the poster. "Maddy is fluent in Spanish, and is Hispanic so... I thought it would be nice."

"It is," I walk over to the desk and get a piece of paper. "What do you even want it to say? Cause I cannot read your handwriting on that poster."

"Well I wanted it to say something along the lines of "Hey I like you, I hope you like me. Date?" Yanno?" He looks at me. I stare at him.

"You're joking right?" I laugh, but his face stays serious. My smile falls. "Jesus Christ Jiung really? That's so dumb!"

"You don't have to be rude," he huffs.

"Sorry," I sit down. "What about..." I tap my pencil on the paper. "what about ditch the poster, and write her a letter."

"In Spanish?"

"Yes," I nod. "I'll help you, you can talk about how much fun you have with her, how pretty you think she is. And then end it with asking her on a date."

"I think a cheesy poster is more my style."

"Really?" I sigh. "Okay fine. We can write "I think we have a lot of fun together, can we have fun but as a couple?" Like that."

"That's stupid," Jiung leans back. "I can make mean pasta."

"What?" I look at him.

"On the poster, what if I write I can make mean pasta. Would that sell her?" He looks over at me.

"No- Jiung what?" I laugh and shake my head. I never realized how weird this man is. "What if you just write a simple "can I take you out on a date?" And we can put fake flowers and everything on it. Make it look pretty."

"I don't have decorations," Jiung sighs.

"Boy..." I stand up. "You were really expecting to just go to her with a white poster that only has words?"

"I mean kinda? I don't know I've never done this before!" Jiung sits up.

"Okay here," I write down what he should put on the poster, in Spanish. "Copy this word for word, try to make it neat. I'm going to go get supplies."

"Are you sure? You don't have to." He takes the paper.

"Maddy only deserves the best Jiung, step up your game." I grab my phone off of the bed.

"I know she does."

"Sure you do," I slide my phone in my jacket pocket and head for the door.

"Hey Rose?" Jiung says. I turn.

"Hm?"

"Thank you for doing this," he whispers.

"Of course, I'll be back soon," I open the door and jump seeing Theo. "Whoa buster," I smile a little. "I'm going to go get some art supplies, I'll be back soon."
