I feel my phone starting to buzz in my pocket. I look at Theo, then take out my phone. A number I don't recognize at first, then pause. I answer. "Diana? Are you okay? I haven't heard from you in so long." Diana was Maddy and Is closest friend until senior year of high school when she moved the England with her stepdad. I haven't even thought about her until now.

"Yeah I'm okay," I hear a rush of cars, and loud wind from her end. "I just wanted to see how you were. I heard about John."

"Oh yeah," I look at Theo, he motions for us to start walking. We head back to the company building. "He's back in America in prison, are you still living in England?"

"No," I hear her take a shaky breath. "I moved back to America last year. Are you around?"

"Around where?" I ask.

"San Francisco?" I hear another rush of cars.

"No, Diana I'm still in Korea," I laugh a bit. "Where are you? It's so loud."

"Oh I'm walking along a road," her voice shakes. I can tell she's lying. She's always been a horrible liar.

"Diana seriously what's wrong?" I ask quietly.

"Nothing nothing," I hear a cling, then her Yelp. "Fuck."

"Diana what's going on?" I stop walking. "Where's your dad?"

"He's dead." She says bluntly.

"Oh Diana I'm so..." I pause hearing her laugh.

"Dude he sucked, I don't care at all." I hear someone shout faintly from her side of the phone. "Is Maddy in Korea too?"

"Yes," I stare at Theo.

"Oh," her voice sounds like her whole soul broke. "I just really need someone right now."

"I can stay on the phone with you Dee," I say softly.

"No I don't want to keep you long, um," Diana pauses. I hear another shout and then sirens.

"Diana what the hell is happening?"

"Hey Rose, tell Maddy I love her okay? I'll talk to you guys soon, I'm sorry I didn't reach out sooner. But thank you for everything. I'll see you soon alright?"

"Dee.." I hear her side go dead. I remove the phone from my ear. She's always been weird, but something was just off. Why was there so much yelling?

"Everything okay?" Theo asks

"Yeah yeah fine," I nod and walk to his side. "An old friend called, she seemed like she was in trouble. I heard sirens," I shake my head. "I'm sure she's fine. She's always been a trouble maker. There was this time during gym class when we were playing dodge ball, she threw a hard throw with the ball at the gym teacher and broke her nose," I shake my head. "She got suspended for like a week."

"Wow," Theo chuckles a little. "She sounds like a hoot."

"She is, she really is. I miss her," I laugh a little. Theo and I start walking again. "I'll call her again tonight, maybe we can catch up over the phone."

"I'm sure that'd be nice," Theo smiles a bit. I smile.

"So about that date... where did you want to go?"

"Hmmm probably the park? Or maybe a picnic?" Theo looks over at me.

"If we do a picnic will you cook for me?" I grin.

"Maybe," Theo and I reach the company building. He opens the door for me. We go in and head back to our room. I open the door and see Jiung sitting on the floor with the poster. His hand writing is much neater. Theo walks in after me and shuts the door. I sit down by Jiung.

"Ready to decorate?" I ask him.

"More than ever," Jiung nods.

"Okay you guys get started, I'm going to go talk to Maddy," I get up and walk to the door. "Have fun," I smile at Theo. He gives me a smile back. I walk out and go to Maddy's room. I go in and see her at her desk.

"Oh hey," Maddy takes out her head phones. "What's up?"

"Well first off, Theo asked me on a date," I smile and sit on her bed.

"Oh did he now?" She grins.

"I'm sure you had nothing to do with that," I laugh a little.

"Not at all," she leans back. "But that's so fun, you guys are disgusting," she smiles. "All lovey and shit."

"Oh you're one to talk! Look at you and Jiung," I smile.

"Oh hush!" She laughs and rolls her eyes.

"But also Diana called," I shift.

"Diana Letcher?" Maddy tilts her head.

"Mhm," I nod. "She sounded like she was in trouble or something," I shake my head. "But she says she loves and misses you," I shrug a bit.

"That's strange, we haven't talked to her in awhile, I wonder what made her call?" Maddy checks her phone. "Oh shit I think she tried to call me too."

"It's okay, I was gonna call her tonight if you want to join," I nod a bit. "Give her time to get herself out of trouble."

"She's always in trouble one way or another,"

"Always." I laugh and tuck hair behind my ear. "Off topic, but do you think Theo actually likes me?"

"I do," Maddy nods. "He can't keep his eyes off of you."

"Oh shut up," I lean back. "That's not true."

"It is! He always wants to be around you, he always wants to protect you..."

"Maybes he's just being a good friend."

"Dumbass he asked you on a date!" Maddy laughs while shaking her head. "He likes you. But you have to tell me if he treats you bad aight?"

"Aight," I smile and shut my eyes. "I doubt he would though. Theo is a good guy, even if he doesn't show it all the time."

"I know," I hear her sigh. "Have you seen Jiung? He hasn't been answering my messages."

"Yeah he said he had a project to do for something," I turn my head to look at her. "It should be ready in an hour."

"What is it?"

"Nonya." I smile and look at her ceiling. Does Theo actually look at me like that? I guess I don't pay attention. I let the feeling of him actually asking me on a date sink in, and I feel warm and fuzzy inside. Like nothing in the world can touch me.
