Part 60- Rose

NOTE: NAMES HAVE CHANGED. THE FIRST LETTER OF THE NAMES ARE THE SAME FROM THE OLD ONES!!

"Theo," I say quietly, standing behind a boy who is sleeping on the desk.

"He's out cold," Nina leans against the door frame.

"No really?" I laugh a little, as I laugh Theo jolts up and blinks his eyes rapidly.

"Oh good morning sunshine," Nina steps more into the room and tilts her head while looking at Theo.

"Hm," Theo rubs his eyes and looks at me, closely. "Are you.."

"I'm fine," I give him a small smile. "Completely fine," I glance at Nina. "Hey Ni, can you give us a second?"

"Of course," Nina nods and backs out of the room, shutting the door behind her.

"I'm fine really," I behind down and rest my arms on Theo's legs.

"I should've asked you," Theo huffs. "I wasn't thinking and.."

"I wanted to," I whisper interrupting him. "I really did. Those panic attacks.. they happen just randomly. Something I guess.. just kind of triggered my brain to panic. It's a learning experience, for us both."

"That makes me feel better," Theo itches the back of his neck. "It really does."

"Well I'm glad," I stand up and stretch my arms. Last night was odd. Everything happened so fast and my brain didn't have enough time to react. "Did you really fall asleep at your desk?"

"Yeah I was," Theo shuts his computer. "I ah.."

"Hey man, I don't need to know your late night activities," I smile a little, nudging his shoulder.

"Nope no," Theo shakes his head and stands up. "No," he repeats and closes a notebook. "I was actually looking up ways to ah," he shrugs. "Help you when... if... that happens again, I felt completely useless last night and I don't want that to happen again. I want to be able to help you."

"You're so sweet," I stand up on my tippy toes and kiss his cheek. "I appreciate you very much."

"Hm," Theo looks away from me, his face beet red. "You seem a little different."

"What do you mean?" I sit on our bed and cross my legs.

"You just seem more.. calm. I don't know really how to explain it," he sits down and turns to me. I tilt my head.

"Maddy and I had a great heart to heart last night that really set things in perspective for me," I take a shaky breath. "It was hard, but needed."

"What did you guys talk about?" He asks me, leaning forward.

"Everything and anything," I pause. "I just want to better myself and not allow my past or.. for lack of a better word... my trauma get the best of me."

"Wow," Theo looks taken aback. "That's actually Incredible, flower. I'm really.. proud of you."

"Thank you," I yawn and itch my arm. "Want to go get breakfast?"

"Mm-hm," He nods and stands up again. "Is camping tomorrow?"

"Unfortunately," I shiver. "Cabin or not, I don't really want to go. Bugs."

"Coward," Theo pokes my side. "It'll be fun, trust me," he says trust me like he's planning something.

"If you drown me in the lake..." I joke.

"No of course not," Theo chuckles. "Food, come on," he hesitates at first, then grabs my hand and heads out of the room. We walk down the hall and the smell of food immediately hits my nose making my stomach grumble.

"I didn't realize how hungry I was," I whispered when we entered the dining room. There everyone was, Maddy by Jiung, Nina by Intak, Keeho sitting by soul and Jeongsob. Theo takes a sit by Intak and pulls out the chair next to his side, without looking at me. I sit down and stare at the food. My mouth is watering. I take some bacon and some toast and start eating slowly.

"Are you guys ready for camping tomorrow?" Jiung says with a mouth full of food, making Maddy hit him. "Ow!"

"Oh extremely," Keeho rolls his eyes. "NO! I am NOT!"

"At least it's not tent camping," Nina shrugs. "Then you would really be throwing a fit."

"Why are we going anyway?" Soul grumbles and eats some food.

"For a vacation," Jiung shrugs. "But I heard it was more so for "team building" or something," he puts air quotations as he says 'team building'.

"Ah," Theo nods. "Bonding time," he then picks up a grape and throws it at Jiung. "Chew with your mouth shut or so help me," Jiung, mid smack of food, looks extremely shocked.

"Leave me alone," Jiung mutters, but starts eating with his mouth closed. I smile a little and eat some more bacon. I look across the table at Maddy and she winks at me. I look back down at my food and push around the toast. I grab some fruit from a bowl and begin to eat that.

"So camping tomorrow," Maddy clears her throat. "I have insight on it," she glances around, almost comically, then leans in. "Apparently we're gonna be separated into cabins, based on a color we get today. Randomly a manager is gonna stick a color to us and that's the cabin we go to. It's all randomized."

"Oh interesting," I shift in my seat. "So like as we just go around during our stuff, they're just gonna.. slap a sticky note to us or something?"

"Exactly," Maddy nods. "Then during camping, it's pretty much gonna be summer camp but-"

"-in the winter," Nina huffs.

"Yeah that's the downside, so pack warm!" Maddy smiles. "It'll be easy for rose.." maddy stops mid sentence. I stare at her, before taking a deep breath.

"That was funny," I shake my finger at her. "Very funny," I laugh a little, but maddy and I are the only ones laughing. "It's okay guys, you can laugh."

"I just feel like it's a little soon, no?" Nina glances between maddy and I.

"Eh," I shrug. "Making jokes makes it less heavy," I feel Theo put his hand on my leg, very gently.

"Any other tips about camping tomorrow?" Theo asks maddy, then takes a large bite of eggs.

"Just pack for cold weather and everything you might need, tooth brush and stuff," maddy nods.

"Cool," Theo nods. I look to Maddy, then behind her and squint at a manager. The manager comes up behind Jiung and smacks his back. Jiung jumps and turns around. I purse my lips together and see a sticky note on his back, it's green.

"It's started," Theo whispers to me, giving my leg a squeeze.
