My Yellow

Part 10 - Rose

I jump slightly hearing a pounding on the wall. I roll over and hear another bang. I hit the wall back. "ANSWER YOUR PHONE" Maddy yells.

"Okay," I say and pick up my phone. I look at the millions of texts Maddy sent me.
From Maddy:
I WOKE UP TO JIUNG CUDDLING ME
From Maddy:
HE W A S CUDDLING M E
From Maddy:
I W A S ON HIS CH E S T
From Maddy:
HIS A R M WAS AROUN D ME
From Maddy:
HE'S IN THE SHOWER
From Maddy:
I PRETENDED TO BE ASLEEP SO WE DIDN'T TALK ABOUT IT
From Maddy:
GIRL ANSWER ME
I laugh and sit up, I look at the laptop playing the end credits of Coco. I look down at the floor and see Theo sleeping. I smile a bit and look back to my phone.
To Maddy:
I don't know how to help you jdfjkadfl did you at least... like enjoy it?
From Maddy:
I DID THAT'S THE ISSUE
I laugh more and lean my back to the wall.
To Maddy:
Girl this is a struggle for you and you only.
I hear Maddy sigh and hit the wall. I laugh and turn my phone over. I look back at Theo and watch him shift. I take a deep breath and study his face. When he sleeps, he looks so peaceful. I get up out of the bed and pull the blanket over his shoulders. I turn and walk to the bathroom. I start the shower and undress, getting in. I let the water run over my body. I take a deep breath through my nose that I haven't been able to do for a few days. I grab the shampoo and wash my hair. I keep my eyes shut, feeling the soap lather on my head. I move back under the water and let the soap run off. I reach down, stepping from the water, grabbing the conditioner. I put it on the ends of my hair and stand staring at the water falling down. I grab the body wash and wash my body while the conditioner sits on my hair. I step under the water, my front facing the faucet. I lower my head and run my hands through my hair. I reach down and turn off the water. I open the door and shiver a bit at the cold air. I grab a towel and ring out my hair, then dry off my body. I wrap the towel around me and walk out of the bathroom, going to my bag. I grab out my clothes and turn, Theo is still asleep. I smile a bit and walk back into the bathroom. I put on my clothes, then grab the dirty ones on the floor. I walk back to my bag and put the dirty clothes away. I sit down on the bed and look at my phone. A new message from the unknown number. I clench my jaw and open my phone. I hover over the call button. I want to know who this is, even though deep down I already do. I take a deep breath and hit call.

"Hello?" I ask stern when the person answers.

"It's so nice to hear your voice Rosey," Johns voice rings out. I grip my phone.

"You..." I shut my eyes. "You need to stop texting me or I'll contact the police."

"They won't do anything," he coos. "You're in Korea aren't you?" I feel my breathing grow heavy.

"No," I say quietly, I feel my body weaken. "I'm not, please leave me alone."

"I can't," he whispers. I hear typing on a computer. "It says you're in Korea, in fact I'm tracking your phone." I clench my chest and hang up. I stare straight ahead, I watch Theo move and sit up but I can't focus. My body is heaving. I don't realize I'm crying until I feel the tears drip down on to my legs.

"Rose?" I hear Theo say. But I don't say anything. I shut my eyes tight trying to catch my breath. "MADDY!" He yells and opens the door running out. I see the world going black, I feel my eyes roll back into my head, then I feel nothing at all.
