August POV

My alarm was going off under the pillow and I sighed. I grabbed my phone and turned the alarm off. I kissed Kerri forehead and slid out of bed. She looked so.. beautiful sleeping. I grabbed a hoodie and put on my socks and Jordan's. I grabbed a piece of paper and a pen and wrote a note to her.

" I know you probably woke up looking for my fine ass. But I had to go, I promise you ima be back and ima call you as much as I can. I gave the real estate agent your number. Your appointment with her is at 2 tomorrow. She'll text you the address. I love you bae, make sure you eat healthy for the boys.

- yo baby daddy, August."

I put it on the dresser under her phone and walked out the bedroom with my phone. I walked down the hall into Karia's bedroom and I opened the door. "Ahh." She screamed. I laughed. "Why you scared?" I asked her sitting on the bed. "I thought you was Quincy." I clenched my jaws. "He ain't never going to get you. I promise." She nodded. "Why you not sleep?" I asked her curious. "I- I been watching bubble guppies all night." I chuckled.

"Aight well uncle Aug is about to go. Gimme a kiss." She stood on the bed and walked to me. She pecked my lips and I picked her up. "Be good to Kerri ok?" She nodded. I sat her down and walked out the room. "Uncle August!" She yelled down the hall. I turned around and looked at her. "Wassup?" She walked to me. "Do you have to go? I-I don't want you to go." She poked her lip out with watery eyes. I got down to her height and spoke. "ima be back I swear. Don't cry." She hugged me crying. I stood up with her in my arms.

I walked her back into the room and put her under the covers. "Close your eyes." I said looking at her. She closed her eyes and I sung to her lightly. She was quiet as I sung. after singing to her, I prayed.

"Lord, I just wanna say thank you for everything you've done for me. You've opened doors for me and my extended family. I know I ain't been the best, but lord I'm asking you to watch over my girls and my unborn boys. Let them be happy and safe while I'm gone. Thank you for everything and so much more. Amen."

I kissed her forehead and walked out the room. I walked downstairs turning the alarm on before leaving. My manager was in the black SUV along with my security.

"Is Kerri Ok?" My manager asked writing on a clipboard. "Yeah she straight. I'll call her later." She nodded and the driver began driving to my tour bus.

Kerri POV
I woke up with a empty bed. I got up feeling upset, August gone was like my happiness leaving temporarily. I looked at my dresser to see a note written.

I read it and every single word made me smile harder and harder. I sat the note down in happy tears. I stood up from bed and walked across the hall to Karia's room. I opened the door and seen Karia was wide awake jumping on the bed. I smiled. "Hey Auntie." She said climbing off the bed and hugging my leg. "Hey baby girl, you ready to get dressed?" I asked. "Yeah!" I held her hand and led her into the guest bathroom where there was a huge bath tub. She played in the bubbles as I was getting ready to rinse the soap off her.

I lifted her up and wrapped the towel around her. "You wanna match with auntie?" She giggled. "Yeah, I wanna be like you." I smiled. I picked her up and grabbed her suitcase with her clothes in it. I grabbed her black shirt and pants and laid it on the bed. I sat her on the bed and grabbed her some undies.

I helped her get dressed and she watched cartoons on my bed til I was ready.

I put on a black dress that hugged my stomach and hips. I put on some black heels and grabbed my phone and black clutch. "You ready?" I said smiling and holding out my hand. She slid off the bed and held my hand.

I walked down the stairs with her following and I grabbed my keys and walked out the house. I unlocked the doors and let Karia in the backseat. I buckled her seat belt and got inside the car.

I looked at the address the real estate agent sent me and followed my gps for directions.

Once we made it to the destination, the real estate agent was on the front steps watching Karia and I walk up to the steps. "Hi.. I'm guessing you're Kerri?" I nodded. "You guessed right." She looked at Karia then me. "I'm Chelsey." I nodded.

We looked inside the house, it was huge. "This is the master bed room, where you will be sleeping if you can afford it." I scoffed at her remark and kept looking at the house. 8 bedrooms 7 bathrooms.. backyard, pool everything.... Karia was walking beside me while we were in the kitchen. "This house is on the market for 3.1 million. If you can afford it." She winked and walked to the other side of the kitchen. I rolled my eyes at her.

She turned around from the window and looked at me. "So Kerri, that's your kid? August didn't tell me you had one." I laughed a little bit. "No no, this is my niece." She nodded. "Oh... So do you have any kids?" She asked tilting my head. I rubbed my stomach. "Just my unborn twins."

She looked at my stomach. "August has twins on the way? He didn't tell me that either." She said with a upset voice. I rolled my eyes. "You think he gone tell you everything? He ain't no business teller. But I gotta question myself. What's your problem with me and August?" I asked.

She looked up at me and smirked. "Nothing, I was just wondering." I frowned. "Wondering bout what?" I said placing my hand on my hip and shifting my weight on one side.

She walked closer to me each word she said. "Well if that was your nigga, he wouldn't have been calling me up and meeting with me privately."

I know this bitch didn't. 😑🔫
