Thaddeus stood over a beautiful red-haired Fae, caging her in against the wall as he continued to whisper into her ear and tell her how beautiful she was.

She was eating it all up and Thaddeus guessed she would be ready to spread her legs in a few minutes.

He began leaning down, lightly kissing her neck. He needed a mate, and this Fae would do just fine.

He saw from the corner of his eye, that Nessa had stopped to look at them.

He pushed away from the Fae and felt his eyes fall on the beautiful Nessa.

She didn't say anything and instead proceeded to walk up a spiral staircase that led out of the passage.

"Excuse me," Thaddeus muttered quickly as he darkened the hall and followed after her.

He found her standing still in one of the rooms, looking as if she could not breathe properly.

"Nes?" He asked gently as he grabbed her shoulder and turned her to face him.

Her face looked pained, which broke his heart. "Nes?"

"I ca no do it." She said with a shaky voice. "I can not watch you be with another."

Thaddeus felt his heart grow warm at her words. He pulled her in closer and began brushing her cheek. "What are we to do?" He said with a slight smile.

"I need to ensure my land is secure Thaddeus." She said with a worried tone. "Only the King can do that."

Thaddeus brushed a strand of hair out of her face. He began to worry, not about losing her but about the fact that she might not be able to get help from the King.

"Nes, what if the King doesn't pick you?" He asked.

She looked up at him panic filling her eyes. "of course, he's going to pick me."

"My father offered him everything at that table today. He would get lands, people, soldiers, money, and resources." She began pleading her case and it just worried Thaddeus more.

He had wanted nothing from their father, just the knowledge that Zarina would not have to deal with the evil man anymore.

"Nes, he seems very interested in my sister." He tried to say the words as soothing as possible. "What he wants from our father, it's very personal to Zarina."

She began taking shallow breaths as she started to panic. "Then when we spend our night together because I'm sure he will pick me as one of the three. I will lay with him, and ensure he gives me a child." She said pulling away from Thaddeus. "He would have to look after the child's people at least."

Thaddeus respected that she was willing to do whatever it took to look after her land, but surely there was another way.

"Let me help you Nes." He asked with a kind voice.

"How?" She snapped. "What resources do you have in Dalustra?"

He looked away pursing his lips as he tried to think. He shook his head. He had nothing. Everything he had was in the Underground.

"Exactly." She said disappointed. "I have to do this Thaddeus."

She stood for several seconds as if waiting for him to try and change her mind. But he did not know how to.

She leaned up and kissed him lightly on his cheeks, and cupped his face. "I am sorry." She whispered gently as Thaddeus closed his eyes.

She released his face and he reluctantly let her go as she disappeared back towards her room.

Thaddeus stood for several seconds wondering how he could help his beautiful Nessa, but It seemed only the king could.

"Thaddeus." Miguel's hoarse-voiced caused Thaddeus to turn around and face his brother.

"Miguel, what is it?"

Miguel's face filled with dread and worry, inhis hands an ancient book of tomes

Callon sat in the chambers as he began writing out the invites for his three Favorites.

Uinen was not the strongest or the prettiest but he needed to have three, so he wrote her name down on the first invite.

Nessa's name he wrote down on the second invite. Her father had offered him their entire land if he chose her. Lord Nordick had seemed oddly desperate.

Then he turned to the last invite. He knew it was going to be Zarina. There was no chance that he was going to let Zarina go back to that brute of a father. His aura had been potent and pure diabolical.

He was the King, and he would find a way to keep her up here. He brought down his pen to write out her name.

But he couldn't, his body was not allowing him to write. His hand would move if he lifted the pen, but if he tried to scribe her name his body failed him.

"Fuck." He groaned out remembering how Zarina had enchanted him to not pick her as his next favorite. His mind wanted to but his body was failing him.

That stubborn woman, to ensure he didn't pick her again. She would rather go back on Ice than let him have her.

He slammed the pen down in frustration. He had to ensure he would pick her.

His head snapped up as an idea came to his mind. He rose from his chair and walked to his door.

He opened it up to see a guard standing up tall armed with a spear.

"You." He ordered with a firm voice. The knight snapped his head at Callon.

"Your Majesty." He said with a bowed head.

"Can you write?" Callon asked with a firm voice.

"Yes, Your Majesty." The Knight said with a nervous voice.

Callon smiled, "Good, I need you to write a name for me."
