Callon sat on his throne tapping away at his armchair, counting down the seconds until he could leave.

He found that his eyes were falling on Thaddeus time and time again. He didn't trust this demon.

He shook his head in annoyance, Thaddeus could not even control his sister to at least act invested in this Event. She had not run off with the rest of them. Even Nessa, the strong beautiful Lady Nessa, walked off with a purpose and a smile when the horn went off.

Whereas Zarina apparently wanted a pastry. Did he admire her brazen act of defiance? slightly, but he saw the whispers that flew across the court room. Lords questioning why the King would choose her.

Iston kneeled down in front of Callon, and began removing the chain that was shacked over his ankle.

Iston then stood up and widened his arms out to the crowd. "Let the Chase begin."

The guests all began clapping while Callon rose from his chair. He let out a hidden sigh of frustration, he was not fond of many of the rituals, but this was probably his least favorite.

He walked through the doors noticing how the passageways were dark, with the occasional candle lit against a wall.

All to try give the ladies an advantage, and make the atmosphere more romantic he supposed.

He walked through the palace, and into the first room that was placed on his left.

He had to smile.

Nessa was sitting on a couch, flipping through a book. Her body perfectly relaxed as She looked up at him and smiled. "Sorry your Majesty, I am terrible at hiding." She stood up and put down the book. She wore a gold and navy-blue gown, with gold jewelry to match. Her lips were painted the same delicious hue of gold, making them nearly irresistible.

His grin widened, did the Lady Nessa want to get caught by him?

"Why, Lady Nessa, I'd think you weren't invested it trying to impress me." He said with a suggestive tone.

She smiled and walked towards him; each step made to seductively taunt him. "I am very invested, My King." She said with a wicked smile that caused the King to shake his head.

How he had waited to meet this legendary beauty, and it appeared she had been just as eager to meet him.

"Something tells me you like this game as much as I do." She stood inches from him. "So, I want to make this as quick as possible for you, My King."

Her pale eyes looked up at him as his eyes trailed down to her beautiful full lips. They shimmered in the light. He had to suck in his breath.

"I should have maybe chosen a room that wasn't so close to the festivities though." She said looking out the door. "Does not give us much time to chat."

He nodded slowly, then took in a deep breath trying to recompose himself.

He stepped to the side and put out his arm for her to take it. She gladly accepted it and entwined her own arm through his. he began leading her back towards the Court Room.

They walked through the walls in silence as Callon looked over his darkened palace.

He didn't know what to ask her, or what tell her, and it was dawning on him fast how uncomfortable it was beginning to feel.

"What is the weather like in Acastia this time of the year?" had he just asked about the weather?

She looked up and smiled at him. "Much warmer than this my Lord."
