Thaddeus sat at their table in the courtroom, reading over some letters from the Underground. All souls still accounted for.

He looked up over the room and noticed how quiet it was with only three Maidens and a handful of Ambassadors.

The event was coming to a close soon, and while he couldn't quite believe that his sister was going to become Queen, he was glad she would be able to escape their Father's clutches.

He looked down at Zarina, she sat slowly pushing around some fruit in a bowl looking distant and lonely. Not at all excited as he hoped she would be.

"What is wrong sister?" He asked as he slowly put down the letter.

"Tell me about the prophecy."

He stiffened as he realized her emotion was not at all due to her future Bonding, but to do with the prophecy.

"Who told you?"

She looked up at him with annoyance. "The King."

Thaddeus did not know if he should question why the King decided to tell her, but By the look of her leather armor instead of flowing gowns, the King had decided it was time she dresses for protection instead of for elegance.

It would be easier for Zarina to defend herself if she knew what was coming for her.

"We are not sure what it means." He began, "We just know they are stalking you, but we do not know why."

She nodded slowly, letting out a sigh as she looked around the room.

Neither Nessa nor the King had come in the room yet, and it was beginning to look suspicious.

"He is bonding with you sister." He said reassuringly as he took her hand and squeezed it.

She looked up at him and shook her head. "I still don't know how I feel about that, brother."

He narrowed his eyes at her. "Darius said you seemed very happy with him this morning."

"I have slept with many; does not mean I want to bond with them." She replied quickly.

"You don't glow with them though." He gave her a cocky smirk as he reached to drink a mug of ground beans.

She didn't say anything and instead returned her attention to the room.

"Morning Lady Zarina," Iston stated as he stopped at the table. "You look healed."

She looked up at him as her jaw slightly tightened. "Stop calling me that."

Iston rolled his eyes before pushing off the table, "It is my job." He reminded her before he walked off the table.

Thaddeus's face creased at the Chamberlain. Iston had taken no notice of Thaddeus at all. He watched as the Blonde elf poured out two cups of ground beans before heading back into the palace. Probably to Miguel again.

Nessa and The King walked into the room together, and from here it was again confirmed how they would make great rulers together.

She walked with confidence as a warrior Queen should, and he made strong strides with no concern of what people thought of him.

He bowed his head at Nessa and they parted formally.

It concerned Thaddeus, what if the king had been seduced by the Beautiful Lady Nessa, she said she would do whatever it takes to save her land.

He followed her body as she walked towards her table. She looked more at peace than usual.

"Good morning." The King said as he leaned over the table to look at Zarina. His eyes falling over her as he smiled.

He seemed taken by Zarina, even though Nessa was beautiful and powerful, and would make a great Queen, he appeared as if all he wanted was Zarina.

A soft smile lined Thaddeus as he watched them.

"You two had a late morning," Zarina said with a voice that sounded like jealousy.

Thaddeus looked over at his sister and smiled. She did like the King. Enough to be Jealous.

"We had agreements to sign." He said casually as he grabbed an apple off the table and took a seat opposite her.

Ambassadors began to stare at how the King was openly sitting at her table. He didn't need to play between the Maidens anymore. Zarina was the last one left to spend a Night in Heaven, and soon he would be declaring her the one he would Bond with.

"What agreements?" Zarina asked.

"Nessa will be staying in court, and her land will be joining mine." He said sternly.

Thaddeus arched his eyebrow. This was sounding like either the King had changed his mind and would Bond with Nessa, or he had chosen to keep her as his mistress. The idea was causing Thaddeus's blood to boil.

"Already picking out your mistress," Zarina said harshly as she starred at the King.

Thaddeus smiled, as he enjoyed his sister's ableness to handle herself.

"You wound me Z." He responded softly. "It is purely to help her with some issues her lands face."

Thaddeus dropped his head and he smiled. He does not care what Nessa did, if her people would be safe, then she would be happy. And that was all he cared about.

"What issues?" Zarina pushed.

"Zarina." The King warned.

She shook her head, "Is this what it is going to be like?" She asked looking between Callon and Thaddeus, "Will I not be allowed to know any politics or threats?"

"It is not the place of the Queen." Thaddeus reminded her as he turned back to his parchments.

"Do I look like a fucken Queen to either of you?" Her vulgar words made him smile.

"No, and you do not sound like one either." Thaddeus chuckled.

"But I do not care." The King said as he leaned over the table again, crossing his arms over the table. "You will be my Queen anyway."

Thaddeus noticed that his sisters' skin was beginning to glow again.

"Z," The king said with a smile, "Is that for me again?"

Her glow dimmed as she wrapped her hands around the armchairs.

"Shut up." She said with a wicked smile at the King.

Thaddeus arched an eyebrow at her, since when did she glow for someone?

He looked over the courtroom and admired Nessa, he always admired her. She was always the most beautiful woman in the room.

She looked up and met his eyes, returning the gentle smile. She was going to be okay.
