Thaddeus stood with his sword ready as he heard the screeching of the Undead along the walls. He could see their shadow figures run along the tops, scratching and scraping the floor and walls as they did.
He had so far counted ten.
There were about fifty armed soldiers behind him. They could do this.
The sound of bodies hitting the ground began to echo out through the courtyard.
"Fates Protect us." Nessa prayed out as the bodies continued past the number of ten.
Twelve, no Fifteen, Twenty. Thirty.
He saw their red eyes begin to snap up at them. Their teeth beginning to chomp at the air with hunger and eagerness to kill.
There was a moment of silence as Thaddeus waited.
He wanted to look at Nessa and tell her, that he loved her. But there was no time for romance.
All at once, the creatures rushed at them. Crashing into their forces, trying to chomp and rip at their bodies.
Thaddeus pushed one off of him, slashing itshead off, then working on its limbs. It dropped to the floor as its hand begantwitching back to life and grabbing at Thaddeus's legs. He kicked them off ashe continued towards the next one.

Zarina was rushed by one of the creatures who tackled her to the ground.
It chomped at her, trying to claw out her neck. None of the soldiers around her could help as she had already enchanted them not to look at her. Callon was dealing with his creature or two.
She managed to kick it over and jumped up, grabbing at her sword that had been knocked out of her hand. She brought it down and sliced through his head, she prepared to slice off its limbs when it suddenly turned still.
She stepped back trying to examine what had happened for it to stop moving.
She heard another creature storm from behind her so she spun and crashed her sword into its chest.
She pushed it off, and it fell to the floor with a heavy thud, its body also going as still as the previous one.
She looked at the moonstone blade, her heart racing. She didn't know if it was because of the blade, or some power she had.
She looked up to see Callon starring at her, his eyes wide as he looked at the still bodies around her.
"Zarina." He yelled as she heard a creature rush from next to her, pushing her into a wall.
Immediately another Undead or Screecher as Zarina was starting to call them, tackled Callon to the ground.
She focused on the one who was desperately trying to bite her face off. Broken teeth chomping at her, pushing closer to her skin.
She pushed the blade through its stomach watching as the red glow began to vanish from Its eyes.
She pushed it off her blade and threw it to the floor.
She felt her skin glow with rage as she saw her mate, getting bit by one of the Screechers. Its teeth digging into his arm as blood began to pour down Callon's arm.
She rushed over and slammed her blade through its torso, as it went completely limp over Callon's body.
He chucked it off and jumped up, looking at her blade. His eyes filled with fascination.
"I am fucken glad I gave you the Moon Blade." He said with an alleviated voice.
She nodded in agreement and faintly smiled. The Moon Blade was killing the magic that animated these creatures.
Another Screecher came from behind her and Callon, she pushed him out of the way and crashed her sword through its body.
Callon turned to another creature, slicing off its head and slashing off its limbs.
It seemed never-ending, as they continued falling from the walls, and rushing at them.

Iston closed the door to the bunker after ensuring everyone was inside and safe.
It was complete silence, as the air grew still around them. The Tunnels under the palace had been created by the Banes long before the Elves ever came into rule. It was a labyrinth of stone passageways that had been redesigned after the fall of Banes. Many tunnels were closed off, but the bunker remained.
He turned to Miguel, who was standing tall with his hand tightened around the pommel of his sword. Miguel looked over at him, his eyes looked fierce and strong.
The first screeching sound echoed through the tunnels, causing Iston's body to tense. He looked down the tunnel, towards where the sound had come from.
It was faint and faded as quickly as it had begun.
Miguel positioned his body to stand facing the noise. His large shoulders taking up much of the space.
Another screech echoed from the tunnel, Iston turned to see red glowing up beaming from behind them.
More snarls and screeches echoed from both sides of the tunnel. He didn't know how they got in here, but there were many of them and they were coming.
He pulled his sword out readied his stance to defend the people of Dalustra with his life.
The creatures rushed forward, towards Iston, while the creatures facing Miguel did the same thing.
There were about ten in total. He didn't know if they would be able to take them, but he'd die trying.
He brought his sword down over the first one's head, kicking its body to the ground as he went for the next. He would focus on the limbs later.
He could hear Miguel fight behind, and as long as he heard that sound he felt at ease knowing he was alive.
He continued slicing off the head of the fourth Creature, before turning swiftly to slice off the arms of one of the headless ones who was trying to slice at his stomach.
He heard Miguel groan out in pain and spun around to see a Creature chewing at his throat as they continued to push him against a wall.
Iston yelled out and was about to slash at the creature when he felt an agonizing pain strip down his back.
He was pushed to the ground as the creature continued to eat and slash into his spine. He could feel claw against bone as he clenched his jaw, preventing himself from screaming.
Miguel growled out and sliced down the one attacking him. With brute force he gripped the creature attacking Iston and threw him across the tunnel as he quickly finished off the remaining two standing.
Once the Undead had been neutralized he turned his attention to Iston.
Iston felt cold and could feel his world was closing in on him. His blood poured out around his back.
Miguel crouched down and began moving his hands over the wounds. "You are not allowed to die." He growled out.
