Saturday Night at Karaoke Dokie

The group waltzed into Karaoke Dokie. Summer looked around and smiled to herself because of her great idea of coming for karaoke.

"This was a great idea, Sum," Cassidy said.

"Oh... I know," Summer bragged.

Cole saw some seats and walked over to them. Cassidy, Summer, and Brett followed. As Summer was walking over, she spotted a familiar face sitting at another table. "Avery!" Summer ran over to greet her cousin.

"Sum!" Avery jumped up to hug her. "I had no idea you would be here?"

"Yeah, I just came here to hang with my friends," Summer said as she gestured towards her gang.

"Cool," Avery said. "Hey... are you entering the contest?"

"Contest? There's a contest?"

"Yea, Sum. There's a contest every night. I'm not entering. I'm just here to chill with my friends. The food here is insanely good. But... my gang is leaving soon."

"Cool... I wanna enter the contest."

"Ok, all you need to do is get up when they ask people to enter and stuff."

"Thanks, I'm tots gonna join." She then ran over to the table where her friends were sitting. "Hey, guys, did you know that there's a contest here every night?"

"Really? OMG. We should join together!" Cole heard what the girls had said.

"Brett, wanna sing a song together?" Cole asked his friend.

"Sure, what song?"

"Girls Like You, I Want it That Way, Counting Stars, What Lovers Do? You choose."

"Let's do... Girls Like You."

"Ok." They both walked up to the DJ. Brett flipped through the song booklet and found the song.

"Hey, DJ, can we sing T06, please?" Brett asked politely.

"Sure," the DJ replied in a raspy voice. Cole and Brett walked onto the circular-looking platform.

"Hey... What's up, y'all?!" the DJ sputtered. "Who's ready for the first contestants of the night."

The crowd cheered.

Then Avery walked over to Summer. "Hey, Sum... my friends are leaving now, but I wanna stay to hear you sing. Is that cool with you?"

"Yea, it's cool," Summer said. "You can sit there." Summer pointed to a seat near her. She didn't realize it was Cole's seat. Avery went and sat down.

The intro for Girls Like You started. Cole and Brett took turns singing the verses. When Cole was not singing, he would stare at Summer. When Cole noticed Avery, he kept at glancing at her. Mostly because she was sitting in his seat, but she looked really beautiful, like Summer. Then, at the end of the song, Cole walked back to where Avery was sitting.

"Hey, cutie... you're actually sitting in my seat." Cole blushed as he smiled googly-eyed at Avery.

Summer glared at Avery, jealous.

"Sorry, I can move," Avery said, blushing.

"Cole, you can sit in my spot, I'm gonna sing," Summer said.

"Oh, cool. Break a leg," Cole said, giving Summer a small hug. Summer walked towards Cassidy. She turned around to see Cole flirting with Avery.

"I'm Avery by the way," Avery giggled.
