Monday

"Cassidy!" Summer ran down the hall.

"Yes... Sum?" Cassidy rolled her eyes.

"I watched the scariest, but best show ever last night. I have a new favorite actress," Summer giggled.

"Who?"

"Romy Weltman!" Summer screamed.

Cole walked past Summer and Cassidy, but didn't say anything. Summer just glared at Cole.

"You can't just ignore him," Cassidy said.

"You are so right," Summer was in front of Cole so she stuck out her foot. Cole tripped over and landed on his stomach.

Cole got up to see a group of middle schoolers crowding around him, laughing and pointing at him. "I'm gonna punch the person who tripped me!" Cole raged.

"So you want to punch me?" Cole saw Summer looking at him.

"Yes, I do. But, I won't." He ran past her.

The crowd scattered and the bell rang.

Dring! Dring! Drong! Dring! Drong! Dring!

"See, he still has a soft spot for you," Cassidy told her friend.

"I probs should not have done that, now he's gonna not talk to me for another week. Or even worse, break up with me." A tear rolled down Summer's cheek. "Why am I so mean?"

"Chill... Anyways, we're late." Cassidy hugged Summer. "I'm sure he will forgive you." They started walking to their homeroom.

Summer cried.

"I know I'm supposed to be your best friend and everything..." Cassidy began. "But, I really think you gotta grow up and talk to Cole. What do you have to lose?"

"Everything! He can dump me. Ahh..." Summer ran to the homeroom.

"Sum... Wait...! Ahh...!" Cassidy ran after Summer. "Save me! Will you talk to Cole."

"Save me?!"

At lunch, Cole decided not to sit with Summer. He sat with his teammates. "Dude... you're not sitting with your girlfriend?" they asked.

"Nah." Cole gnawed on his sandwich.

Summer looked at Cole from her table.

"You should go talk to him," Cassidy suggested.

"No!" Summer gnawed on her spaghetti.

Cassidy pushed Summer off the bench and to where Cole was sitting.

Cole turned around. "What do you want now?!"

"Can I borrow him?" Cassidy didn't wait for a reply from Cole's friends and pulled him over to the janitor's closet. Then pulled Summer. Then left.

"Naaaw!" Summer shouted. Then left.
