Saturday

Summer missed Cole already, even though she saw him yesterday. She had tried to text him, but he never answered.

SUMMER: hi

SUMMER: Where are u?

SUMMER: Wanna come over??? ..............

SUMMER: Hullo? 😨

SUMMER: HULLO?!?!?! 😱

SUMMER: r u goin' to church tmr?

SUMMER: r u still mad at me?"

SUMMER: I'm soz, ok?

Summer sighed. "Maybe he will never answer me," Summer thought. Tears started to stream down her cheeks.

SUMMER: Do you still love me? 💔💔💔💔

SUMMER: nvm

Summer sat crossed-legged on her bed, staring at her phone from the minute she woke up on Saturday morning. "Maybe he doesn't love me," Summer thought. "You're being silly, Summer, of course he loves you. He kissed you like a billion times already." Summer went over to her closet to pick out an outfit. She chose a black t-shirt, a black hoodie that says "Full Moon", black leggings, a faces-of-the-moon bracelet, and a black beanie. She changed in her closet, then went to the kitchen to get breakfast.

"Why are you looking like Darth Vader today?!" Amber shouted in Summer's ear.

"I'm going through some things, ok." Summer pouted.

"What things?" Amber said, poking her sister.

"Stuff."

"Ok." Amber wiggled her eyebrows and hips. "Poopy Head!"

"You are a big, fat poopy head!" Summer yelled.

"What's going on, sweetie pie pumpkins?" Summer's mom yelled from the kitchen.

"Nothing." Summer glared at Amber.

"Come on, you know you can tell me everything," Mrs. Zaayer said, coming out of the kitchen.

"I have to... Hmm... Be a potato... In my room... Yeah... Bye." Summer ran off to her room and slammed the door shut. "I'm so sad." Summer started to talk to herself. "You are crazy." Summer jumped on her bed. "Why are you talking to yourself, Summer!"

Pebble Drop!

Summer's phone beeped. She grabbed it off of her bedside table and there was a notification from Instagram. She clicked it to see what it was. Cole had followed her Instagram account. Summer smiled. He hadn't forgotten her after all. Summer went on Cole's Instagram page and followed him back. @colexavier was full of cute pictures of Cole. He had a lot of girls following him. Summer took a cute selfie then posted it on her Instagram page, @summer.jess.

Pebble Drop!

Cole was the first one who had liked the picture. He even wrote a comment.

COLE: #cutepic thinking of u 💖💖💖

SUMMER: #thanksheaps thinking of u everyday. miss u.

Pebble Drop!

Summer's phone had another notification. It was Cole. He finally answered her Whatsapp messages.

COLE: Hi. Soz, didn't see ur texts.

SUMMER: thats totes fine. I get that ur busy

SUMMER: y didn't u answer???

COLE: Me in LA.

He sent a selfie of him and Dan at a football game.

SUMMER: ohhhhhhhh. cool.

SUMMER: me too, but i stayin here for christmas break

COLE: gtg. Game about to start. TTYL 😘

SUMMER: 😘 kk

COLE: bye 😭

SUMMER: 😲

COLE: haha

Summer started jumping around on her bed.

"Stop jumping around!" Mrs. Zaayer yelled from downstairs.

"Sorry, Mom!" Summer yelled back. She ran back downstairs to see her whole family down there. Summer went to the fridge and got some bread and almond butter. She toasted the bread, then spread the almond butter. She brought her meal to the kitchen bench and ate.

"Hey, sweetie. You all right?" Mrs. Zaayer asked.

"Yeah." Summer chewed.

"What were you doing up there?" her mother asked.

"Ohh... just practicing my dance moves, mom," she said.

"Cool, swaggy swag swag." Summer's mother did a dab.

"Mom, please don't say that. Don't try to be cool when you're not."

"Yes. Ok, ok. Sorry." Mrs. Zaayer brought Summer's empty plate to the sink.

Summer ran to the bathroom and brushed her teeth. Then she raced back into her room to grab her phone. "Ok, let's see if Cole sent me anything."

"Who's Cole?" Amber asked, sticking her head in Summer's room. "Is he the one you said you don't care about but you hugged him? That guy?"

"Amber! Get out of my room this instant!" Summer shouted at her.

"Tell me, Summer!"

Summer jumped up from her bed and pushed Amber back into the hallway. Then she shut the door in her sister's face.

"Gosh, sometimes she can be so annoying," Summer said to herself.

"Weirdo! Talking to yourself again!" Amber shouted from the hallway.

"Correction, all the time," Summer laughed.

Summer checked her phone and there was one new message from her Whatsapp.

COLE: BTW I still 💗 ya

Summer beamed with happiness. She started dancing around her room. While she was in her room, she brushed her hair and braided it into two french braids going down the sides. Summer's glossy, blond hair, reaching about a couple of inches below her shoulders, always looked nice, but she wanted to do something special today. Summer grabbed a baby blue sling bag from her closet and put her phone inside it. She also grabbed her wallet, earbuds, and her other necessities such as, tissues, hand cream, etc.

She ran downstairs and jumped on the couch next to her mom. "Mom, can we go somewhere. Anywhere!" Summer begged her mom.

"Alrighty, where would you like to go?" Summer's mom wiggled her arms in the air vigorously.

"Mom, I already told you. Don't act cool, when you're not." Summer rolled her eyes.

"Okay. Sweetie pumpie noodle braininess. Whatcha wanna hang doin today?"

"Mom. Are you even speaking English?"

"Maybe, sweetie pumpie," Mrs. Zaayer said, ignoring her daughter. "So, maybe you could invite Cassidy to join you."

"Sure." Summer went to her contacts and called Cassidy.

Dring Bing! Dring Bing!

"Hey, Summer, what's up?" Cassidy picked up.

"Hey, me and the fam were gonna do something today. Wanna come?" Summer spoke to Cassidy on the phone.

"Yepsie."

Cassidy and Summer went ice skating and shopping at the mall. It was a great way to start off their Christmas break.
