Everleigh
I'm sitting in the astronomy tower doing some of my potions homework and waiting for Regulus to show up. He's late which isn't like him and i'm starting to worry again. I thought since our conversation this morning, things were good but now i'm starting to think something is going on.

We usually meet in the astronomy tower after dinner and sometimes walk there together but I didn't see him at dinner. I've been sitting here for 45 minutes and I'm starting to wonder if he's even coming. Why ask me to meet up if you aren't even going to show up?

After about an hour of waiting, I begin to pack up my homework. I could be hanging out with Lily or James or someone who actually wants to spend time with me instead of sitting here waiting for someone to show up.

I don't know what's going on with him but this was not cool.

The halls have people walking around with their friends and some sitting along the walls doing homework or just talking with people. I can't help but feel hurt by this. He's never stood me up before and something doesn't feel right about it.

I start walking down the hall to go to the library where Lily probably will be when I see Regulus standing there talking to Andromeda and Narcissa. I can't make out what they're saying but he looks angry. I turn around fast before he notices me. I'll just go the long way because I don't want him seeing me. Whatever is going on, i'm starting to get a bad feeling about it.

I turn fast around a corner and walk right in to someone and drop my books.

"I'm so sorry." I mumble, not looking at the person I ran in to as I kneel down to grab my books. "That was my fault- I was in a rush and wasn't paying attention."

The person kneels down beside me and grabs one of my books before I look up and see Sirius smiling down at me.

"Everleigh, you should really look before you turn corners." Sirius says. His voice doesn't sound harsh or sarcastic for once.

"Sorry." I mutter again.

"Don't apologize." He says. "What were you running from?"

"Oh um-" I pause. He narrows his eyes at me and then his face becomes more serious.

"Who were you running from?" He asks.

"It's not like that." I say. "I was supposed to meet someone and they didn't show up."

"Regulus." Sirius says. "What was so important that he didn't show up?"

"I don't know."

"Then why were you running?" He asks me.

"I saw him when I left." I explain. "I didn't want him to see me so I took off."

"Are you okay?" He asks me gently.

"Yeah, i'm fine. I'm just a little confused."

"Why?"

I pause. This is the longest conversation we've had that hasn't ended in fighting in a long time. I'm not sure why he's asking questions but I did miss talking to him.

"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to." He adds.

"No, it's okay." I say. "He was talking to Andromeda and Narcissa and I though they didn't like him now."

"Oh." Sirius says. "I'm not up to date with the family drama but I've heard that Andromeda is dating a muggle born so Bellatrix isn't happy with her."

"So him and Andromeda are both at risk of getting disowned." I mumble. It makes sense now. They're both probably worried about each other and what happens when and if they do get disowned.
