Clay's POV
Today we were going to the beach so we all were exited. Nick and so were awake but the other two were still knocked out. We got the cooler with snacks and drinks together, along with the chairs and towels. Now we were just watching the office upstairs.
"Damn can they wake up already? It's 10" Nick groaned and slumped down into the couch. I laughed at him and stood up, stretching.
"I'll go get them" walking down the loud stairs, and jumping down the last four, I barged into Deena's room.
"Good morning-" where is she? "Deena?" I looked in the bathroom before leaving and going to George's room.
"George wake u- oh" I stood in the doorway with a big smile at the sight of them holding onto each other. George was on top on her and she was laying flat in her back. "Guys!" I smiled and ran over to them, jumping on the bed. I heard a few muffled groans before they both opened their eyes.
"What, Clay?" Deena groaned.
"Yeah what do you want?"
"It's beach time get up and change and let's! go!" With that Deena was quick to shoot up and run to her room through the bathroom.
"I call brushing my teeth first, George!" We could hear her shout faintly and I laughed, George just shaking his head with a smile.
"So" I laughed and sat down, waiting for him to say something. He scratched the back of his head and the silence made me impatient. "George come onnn"
"I don't know" he shrugged his shoulders. "We fell asleep" he was looking down, but I could still see the small smile and redness on his face.
"And you think I didn't hear you two going up to the roof the past few nights?" I smirked and his face went blood red now. "What the hell goes on up there? Actually I don't even want to know-"
"Oh my god! Nothing like that ew!" He laughed at me and stood up to grab a pair of trunks. "We go up there and star gaze and talk about things"
"Things?" I stood up and decided to just fix up the blankets on the bed.
"Yeah, things. She's gone through a lot and needs to talk to someone" he shrugged.
"I ask her if she wants to talk all the time, why doesn't she talk to me?" I asked with confusion. I wasn't upset but I was genuinely curious. He looked down for a moment while playing with the trunks strings.
"I don't know, I thought she did talk to you" he looked at me before we heard the bathroom door open and Deena leaning out with a oversized t-shirt over her bathing suit.
"Bathroom's yours, George" she smiled and walked out, jumping onto my back for some reason. "Hi, Clay"
"Hi Deena" I smiled and she hopped down, walking around in front of me. "So, what happened last night?"
Deena's POV
He wiggled his eyebrows at me and my mouth dropped open.
"Clay" I tried to shout quietly and punched his arm super hard, causing him to groan in pain.
"Jesus, Deena since when do you hit hard?" He rubbed his sore arm and I laughed.
"I always have I just never actually hit you, and nothing happened last night, we just fell asleep" I smiled and he nodded before George walked out.
"Let's go!" He pushed us of and called Nick down stairs to make our way to the beach. They all walked ahead and I realized I never showed them the rental I ordered that was delivered this morning, at least it should have been.
"Hey I need to use the bathroom I'll catch up" I nodded and went to the bathroom. George grabbed my things for me and I thanked him before going to the car port under our cottage. Sure enough, there was the nice surfboard I rented. I cheered quietly and grabbed some board wax from a shelf before grabbing the green board and running to the beach with it under my arm. "Hey!!" I shouted with happiness, making them all look at me and widen their eyes.
"You surf?!" Clay asked surprised. I nodded.
"I used to when I was younger because me and my family would constantly go to the outer banks. I surf a lot now that I'm here though." I smiled and laid it down, beginning to wax it.
"Please teach us" I looked up and saw a mesmerized Nick. I laughed at him and stood up, grabbing the sunscreen.
"Sure thing" I smiled.
"Is this yours? How did you even get it here?" George smiled while sitting down next to where I was standing. I finished spraying my body before answering.
"No, I actually have a few at home in my garage I just rented this one for the cottage." I smiled. "We can get the other ones if you guys actually turn up to do well. Or we can go get them now?"
"I'll go!" Clay quickly shouted. "You guys stay and I'll get them." He smiled brightly.
" alone?" Nick laughed and he shook his head at him.
"You can come with me. Deena keys to your house?" I pointed to the bag I had and he snatched them.
"There are straps on the shelf next to them to strap it to the roof!" I shouted and got a thumbs up as they ran off.
"Show me what you got, water girl" George suddenly laughed from behind me, making me turn around and face him. He was closer than we both thought so he took a step back.
"Oh you just watch" I smirked and strapped the band on my ankle before sprinting to the water. George slowly walked down to the shoreline by the time I was at the point that I was diving under waves. Once I made it past the crash zone I turned and saw him with a big smile. I raised my arm up and waved as hard as I could, getting a big wave back from George, and eventually after about 15 minutes, a big one from the ocean as well. I felt the water began to move and I got ready as the huge wave started to peak. This is not what I would want to ride as a first wave of the day. It kept getting bigger and I saw worry on George's face, so I kept my 'I'm perfectly fine' look before dropping in, and to say it was flawless is an understatement. For as big as the wave was, it was smooth. I did a few kicks before looked at the shore again and seeing Nick and Clay running with three other boards screaming my name and cheering. I walked to the edge of the board and back before diving out of the wave. I grabbed back into the board and paddled back in and as soon as I stood up George was running to me.
"Deena you're amazing!" He wrapped his arms around me and lifted me up as I dropped the board. He let go and I grabbed it again before we started talking. "That was so cool and then you walked to the edge..-" the rest faded out after he did a cute waddle to imitate me walking on it. I was just smiling before he looked at me again.
"Thank you, George. That actually means a lot" I smiled and we walked back to the other two.
"YOU ARE SO COOL WHAT!??" Clay immediately shouted and grabbed my shoulders, shaking them.
"How are we supposed to do that?" Nick asked with surprise and I laughed at him.
"All you have to do is stand" I laughed, earning a groan from Nick and a laugh from the other two. I felt someone's arm softly graze my own, and someone's hand placed on my lower back. I looked over and sure enough it was George, who was trying to say something but couldn't stop laughing. He was basically using me as support until he finally got out what he was laughing at.
"He can barely do that on ground, and you expect him to stand on a moving board on water?" Now all of us were laughing at it and set out chairs up before sitting down for a little bit. I cannot wait to teach these idiots to surf. It'll be fucking hilarious.
