Deena's POV

I woke up in pain once again, but I felt something cold on my chest. I let my eyes adjust to the darkness before looking down. It was my phone. I looked over and saw Miranda asleep. What could I do? It's turned off. And I can't use my hands to turn it back on. I sat there thinking for minutes. At any second Max could come in here and see it; he'd probably kill me.

If I can get pressure on the button, and hold it down, I can turn it back on.

I wiggle around for a moment so it was closer to my face and got a grip on the corner with my teeth. I pulled it a little closer and pushed down the button with my chin. Please work. Please work. Please turn on. After a moment or two I saw the apple logo pop on my screen. I took a sharp breath in, trying to contain my happiness and relief. It needs to hurry up. Now. My face was soon lit up by my Lock Screen and I smiled so hard it hurt, considering I had my face cut open. Now what?

I looked around once again, Miranda was still sleeping, it was dark outside so maybe Max was too, and it was quiet in the house. Now what? I used my nose and struggled to tap the screen. Now I had to unlock it. My tongue? That's disgusting but it's all I can do. I tried my hardest, straining my neck to reach down to my phone. I tapped the four numbers and felt like I could cry when it opened.

"Hey Siri" I whispered as quiet as possible. The sound was off so it wasn't loud, but the small bubble popped up on my screen. "Text Clay balls"

Clay's POV:

Driving was getting extremely tiring when you're doing it for hours. We checked local warehouses but no one was there. Nick was knocked out while George was struggling to stay awake.

"George you can go to sleep it's okay" I smiled reassuringly at him and he shook his head. I groaned and rolled my eyes "you're about to pass out. Go to sleep I'll be fine" he didn't answer so I looked in the rearview mirror. He was now fast asleep. I drove through a different neighborhood that was closer the the park before parking and resting my head on the steering wheel. We've been telling Darryl everything that's been going on and if there were any signs that she was okay. It breaks all of us a tiny bit more every time we have to say no. No, we don't know if she's hurt. No, we don't know where she is. No, we don't know if she's alive.

"Deena where are you" my eyes started to water as high and dry lightly played in the background. I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket and sighed, slowly picking it up and unlocking it. I opened my messages and felt like I was going to cry.

63 Kineley way. Help.

"Guy!" I shouted and shook both of them awake. "Wake the fuck up come on!" Finally they both jolted awake and looked terrified.

"What?!" Nick shouted back. I shakily showed them both my screen, their eyes growing wide.

"What are you doing!? Drive! Nick call the cops my phone died! Hurry!" George shouted while sitting up fully. I sped out of the parking lot and took a sharp turn where my go's was taking me. Finally 911 picked up.

"Y-yes we found out where Deena Noveschosch-Sanders is!" He completely butchered her name but it was fine. "I don't know how to pronounce it but she's at....hold on let me look.. 63 Kineley way!" He said a few more things before hanging up. A few more minutes and we're there. George was shaking and was clearly terrified. Nick was playing with his hands and bouncing his legs up and down. We still didn't hear sirens but we pulled into the neighborhood, slowing down and parking a few houses away from the address she sent. I jumped out of the car, soon followed by Nick and George, who nearly fell in his face. I ran to my trunk and popped it open, revealing a baseball bat, a wrench, and a crowbar.

"Clay what is this" George looked at me nervously. Nick held obvious excitement at the sight while I sighed.

"We can't walk in there with nothing." I smiled sadly before grabbing the crowbar, Nick grabbing the wrench, and leaving George with the bat. We all slowly walked towards the house and scoped the outsides, checking all windows. I was at the back of the house while the other two were somewhere else. I heard quick footsteps and soon a terrified George who had tears in his eyes ran to me.

"He- he has a pistol, and a-a m4" my eyes went wide as I led both of us to nick, telling him.

"Fuck. I just found the room where they both are. It's bad. I can figure out how to get there and help out. But it might take a minute because they're tied up."

"How are you going to cut the-" George was interrupted by kick pulling out a knife. Damn. "Okay"

"I can distract him, break a window or something" I suggested, making George smack me in the arm.

"Are you insane? He has guns, Clay" I sighed and nodded, showing I knew what I was getting myself into. "What do I do?"

"Watch out. In case something happens" nick suggested and I took a deep breath. We were all scared but this was a life or death situation for Deena and Miranda.. for all of us. "I'll use the crowbar and pry open the front door. Break the window when I give you the signal. George come with me." He showed me a small hand sign as the signal and slowly crept away. He knew what he was doing and it was good because me and George were extremely nervous. I saw him flick his rosy forward and I ran to a back window, smashing it before running to the other two, doing the same.

"What the fuck!" I heard a guy shout as a figure walked out back. I stayed hidden as he looked around. He was holding a pistol and cocked it. I slowly crept to the front door to see it wide open. Good.
