George's POV

We were all sitting around in the living room when we heard footsteps and I sleepy Deena walked in with a blanket wrapped around her and her hair a mess. She roughly smiled at us and we laughed as she walked in.

"You look great" I laughed at her and she glared at me while shuffling over and sitting next to me and Clay. I really feel bad now, everything That I've been thinking, it's probably harder for her because of her past. I really really feel like a dick about getting frustrated, and never took her situation with Max to consideration.

"Shut up" she rolled her eyes and we all just watched the tv, which was showing a football game with Brighton and Chelsea. It was quiet, and soon enough I felt someone lean on me. I looked over and Deena was curled up and she leaned onto me before wrapping her arm around my sides. I raised my arms up for a moment to let her get comfortable and put them back down, my right arm resting on her back.

"See that's not a 'just friends' type of thing" Nick whispered in my ear and smirked, earning one from Clay as well.

"Piss off" I mumbled and kept my gaze on the tv, not wanting to become more red than I already am. Nick finally laid off and left me alone until Deena crawled on top of me. "Hello?" I asked down at her but all she did was latch her arms onto me.

"You said piss off, nothing I can do to help" Nick put his hands up and marked, earning a glare. I turned to Clay and he was passed out.

"Come on what do I do?" I laughed out and pushed some of her hair that was in my face out of the way. I carefully unwrapped her arms and laid her down on the couch where I was sitting.

"Where are you going?" Nick whispered as D tossed around in the light sleep she was in.

"Shower" I smiled and nodded before slowly walking down the stairs. I still was upset with her, but I couldn't be mad. Right?

Deena's POV

I woke up on the couch next to Nick. I looked around and saw Clay passed out as well, but George wasn't anywhere to be seen. I looked back at Nick and his mind was all on the tv, which had black mirror on.

"How long have I been asleep?" I groaned and rubbed my eyes. His head turned to me and he smiled.

"Like 30 minutes, that's all" I nodded and sat up before stretching. God that felt nice.

"Where's George?" Standing up, I walked and grabbed a water bottle from the kitchen, and made my way back to the couch.

"He went to shower. And I have to ask you something." He smirked and I felt my heart drop. Oh god what is it. "Are you two a thing? Like are you-"

"No! Jesus fuck" I said loudly, which woke up Clay in a heart beat. I gave him and apologetic look before turning back to Nick. "We are friends! That's it. Nothing more. And quit asking because you're only ever going to get the same answer. Friends." I huffed and they stared at me in disbelief on how quickly I snapped. I grabbed my blanket and water.

"I'm going back to my room. Don't come in" I spun around and of course, George was standing there. "You have got to be fucking kidding me"

"What?" He scoffed and let out a small laugh, but not the lighthearted one.

"Now you're going to get all upset with me-"

"Why would I get upset?" I furrowed his eyebrows at me. "We're just friends. Like you said. Nothing more. Nothing ever." The feeling of my heart shattering was an understatement of how hard that hurt. Is that what he feels like when I say that? Shit. I stood there and stared at him before he began to walk by.
