Deena's POV

I bolted up, waking up nick in the process, and he jumped up and got all defensive. Which was pretty fucking funny.

"Who's there" he made a fighting pose as he was barely awake to process anything. "Oh it's you. What are you doing?"

"I forgot I was going to hang out with my friend tonight" I said while walking to the kitchen, I heard him following behind.

"Hey it's okay just call her" he reassured as I paced, clicking her contact.

"Is it okay if I put it on speaker?" I asked, he nodded and I clicked the dial button, placing my phone on the counter in front of us.

"Hey" she seemed tired, upset almost.

"Miranda I am so sorry Clay-"

"Deena it's okay" she huffed and I felt a warmth of sadness cover my shoulders.

"No you don't understand. He surprised me with George and Nick and we lost track of time." I felt nick place his hand over my shoulder. I flinched and he retracted it quickly. 'You're okay, sorry' I mouthed as he put it back. It was reassuring.

"Yeah" she sighed again. "Deena we haven't seen each other in a month and a half"

"What?" I felt my voice almost break, causing nick to carefully squeeze me.

"And we've talked less" my throat was getting caught up at this point. "Any time that we have plans, something comes up, or you're with Clay"

"No, Miranda you don't understand" I was trying to keep my cool and not breakdown. "I'm sorry"

"Deena it's fine. We can just hang out tomorrow" I was relieved, before I heard the dial ring. I stood there, staring at my phone in silence. I looked over to nick and he looked at me with sympathy. I followed his gaze as he looked to the doorway. I saw Clay standing there. I groaned and rubbed my eyes.

"You told me you were hanging out with her tonight. I forgot I'm sorry" he sighed and walked over and looked at me with his arms out a little bit. I nodded before I felt him gently give me a tight hug. "That didn't sound like a good phone call"

"No, it wasn't" I shook my head before letting go. "I should get going"

"Or you could stay hear?" I heard a thick accent from the door.

"God everyone is awake now" Nick laughed and I joined him.

"I guess I can stay" I smiled and patted George on the shoulder as I passed by, making my way into Clay's room.

"Hey that's my room!" I heard him catch up with me and I chuckled, spinning around.

"I'm getting clothes you idiot" I smiled as I grabbed the same outfit I wore in my nap. I walked out of the room, passing Clay and saying goodnight. He was half asleep already.

"Keep the door open" he groaned from his bed. "Get me if you need anything okay?"

"Okay, Clay, go to sleep" I smiled and walked out into the living room to see Nick covering the couch. Insight and shook him a little bit before he swatted my hand away.

"Deena leave me alone I'm trying to sleep." He groaned and I rolled my eyes.

"Well thanks for leaving me a spot" I flicked him on the forehead before making my way back to clays room. It's a fucking twin bed. Why does his room have a twin when the guest room has a queen? Oh wait his gaming set up takes a bit of room... ANYWAYS this is going to be interesting. I slowly walked to the guest room where George was sleeping. The door was open so I walked over and knocked on the doorframe, leaning against it. He was laying on his side on his phone, clearly watching tik toks.

"Seriously? Tik tok?" I laughed and he sat up, smiling.

"Like you don't sit on it for hours" he laughed. I raised my eyebrows and shook my head no. "You're kidding. You seriously don't have tik tok?"

"Nope I've never needed it" I smiled. He huffed in disbelief. We stayed where we were for a few more moments.

"What's up anyways?" He asked while he shut his phone off. I stood there for a minutes confused before I remembered why I was here in the first place.

"Oh! Nick took up the entire couch so I was wondering if I could stay in here?" I smiled. He looked surprised at first before speaking.

"Oh uh- yeah yeah sure" he scooted over and sat there awkwardly.

"You sure it's okay?" I asked and he smiled and nodded. I slipped under the cover next to him and rolled over to face him.

"Do you make tik toks, George?" I asked and he turned red immediately.

"You" he pointed at me and smiled "don't need to know that" I smiled before snatching his phone out of his hand. "Hey! You don't even know the password!" I smiled and looked down. What could it be. One guess and I was right.

"George" I sighed as I showed him his now unlocked phone. His eyes widened and he tried taking it before I opened the app. He gave up as I swiped, looking at each video. "Why would you let the spider out? You idiot!" I began to laugh before he huffed and finally took it away.

"That's enough bullying today, Deena" he smiled before he put it away. "Goodnight" he snugged under the covers and let out a soft sigh. I didn't realize I was staring until he turned over to look at me.

"Are you okay?" He furrowed his eyebrows.

"Yeah I'm okay. Goodnight, Georgie" I smiled back. He rolled his eyes at the name as I chuckled, laying down and drifting to sleep.

George's POV

I heard someone talking and assumed Deena was watching YouTube videos before I turned over and saw her sitting up, talking to herself. She was sitting up straight forward, legs straight out and arms by her side. I leaned forward and looked at her and she had tears flowing down her face, eyes open and staring straight at the wall. I felt myself began to shake in fear. What the fuck is she doing? Is she possessed?

"Denise?" I said quietly and lightly pushed the hair out of her face. "Denise it's George are you okay?"

"Please don't let him come near me. I don't want to get hurt again. He hurt me so bad" she kept going on about how she was scared. She was sleep talking. I wiped her tears and slowly stood up, walking to her side of the bed. I gently put on arm on her back and the other behind her head, slowly letting her back down on the bed. She shut her eyes but kept talking about how scared she was. I went back to my side of the bed and laid down. I looked over and she rolled to her side before reaching for me. She squeezed my hand before letting go again.

"Please keep me safe" she hiccuped in her sleep and I scoffed over and played with her hair, trying to calm down.

"Shhh it's okay Deena" I wiped her tears once more before continuing to play with her hair and hum a random song. That random song just happened to be secret tunnel. I heard her breaths slowly get heavier and her body completely relax. I laid there for a few more moments playing with her hair before I let my arm relax, which was over her arm and shoulder. I felt bad for her, and I couldn't imagine how hard everything for her must be right now. She had seemed stressed all day unless there was something distracting her. I let out a sigh before I removed my arm after a moment and turned back over and fell asleep.
