Deena's POV

As we walked to the car Clay, Nick, and I were laughing but George stayed behind us, quietly walking before sitting in the back next to me. I looked at him and he seemed almost upset or nervous. He was playing with his finger and kept adjusting his face from the window and back to his hands. My attention was pried away by a wide-smiling Nick hitting my leg from the passenger. I looked up and he winked playfully before pressing the skip button.

"No way!" I laughed as 'Shine' by Collective Soul started playing. A giant smile spread onto my face and Clay smiled. I looked over and George was finally looking up and had a soft smile. His eyes were hopping around though still.

"Woah!" I screamed "heaven let your light shine down!"

George's POV

I don't know why but I was extremely anxious going to dinner. As soon as she walked in the room I felt my body start to tense up. I stayed quiet during the ride and stared at the window or at my hands until Nick turned on a song Deena loved. It made me smile when she got exited. I caught myself staring when she heard it but she looked at me, so I jumped my gaze back to the road in front of us.

"Come on George why so quiet?" Clay laughed from the front seat before I started screaming the lyrics too. It made Deena smile and this time I had caught her staring through my peripheral vision. I was finally calm now and sat up and turned back to Deena, who was still looking at me.

"I'm hungry" she complained but laughed. I nodded my head and smiled.

"Me too" I turned to Clay and punched his shoulder.

"Ow what the fuck!?" He spun his head around and back with an angry expression, which made everyone laugh at him.

"Are you almost there?" I laughed out while he rolled his eyes and pointed to a building on a pier as we pulled into the parking lot.

"Yes let's go!" Deena jumped out of the car before it was even fully stopped, which scared the shut out of all of us.

"Deena don't do that ever again that was scary!" Nick playfully shouted. She smiled and shook her head before leaning against him and wrapping her arm around him.

"Oh the poor baby was scared" Nick was about to put his arm around her too but he stopped in his tracks and held his arm back up, an offended expression plastered on his face.

"I am not a damn baby!" He shouted before shoving her off of him, right into me. I fumbled for a moment trying to balance before I finally got a grip on her shoulders and helped her stand straight, a laugh escaping our mouths.

"Jesus Nick, calm down" Clay punched his arm softly and continued our walk towards the doors. Me and Deena were still giggling like 11 year olds and pointing at Nick, fake shit talking about him.

"What are you guys saying?" He groaned once he realized what we were doing, which just made us laugh harder.

"How exited we are for mahi tacos!" Deena pointed up. He looked at us with a 'wtf' kind of look before we started laughing much harder to where we had abs. We had to stop and collect ourselves, leaning over our knees before we could walk again, and they were already inside.

"Jesus I have not laughed this hard in awhile" I breathed out as we walked into the sidewalk.

"Same oh my god that was funny" she smiled at me as I reached for the door, opening it for her. "Why thank you, kind sir" she curtsied and I flicked her forehead and rolled my eyes.

"Weirdo" I smiled down at my feet before we saw the guys at a table, trying to hide behind the menus. I walked behind Clay and jumped scared him, making his scream and everyone look at him. I sat next to him, Deena sitting across from me. She smiled at me before picking up the menu, immediately putting it down since she knew what she wanted. I put mine on top of hers and waited to order our drinks.

"You guys are literally children. How much of a giggly mood are you in? Both of you" Clay smiled as he placed his menu in the stack. Me and Deena looked at each other, and that alone made us laugh so he got his answer.

"Why do you guys have to do this when we go in public for the first time together." Nick laughed at us "oh shit Clay you're in public"

"He's our friend Wyatt today" I pointed out and Deena nodded her head. "Remember he's Deena's friend, so call him Wyatt"

"Why did you choose Wyatt??" Clay groaned and put his head in his hands.

"Because we wanted it to make us laugh, and I have a spam only with some close friends from home, and it's private, so I changed the username so I can tag that in photos so it'll be believable." Deena pointed out as the waiter walked over to us.

"Hi welcome to the Craving Crab. I'm your waiter, Caleb, this evening. what would you like to drink?" He smiled at us. We all got water with lemon. "And for the beautiful lady?" He smirked and her eyes went wide.

"Oh um- I'll just take a water please" she nodded and averted her gaze to her hands. Her eyes flickered to me and I have her an apologetic look.

"Okay I'll be right back with those" he smiled and walked away.

"Okay" Nick said, dragging it out. "It's showtime. George and Deena you're together for the rest of the night."

"What!?" We both shouted and stared at him.

"What he's hitting on you and you're uncomfortable. Just like last time right?" Clay pointed at us as he rested his head on his hand. We looked at each other and she huffed while slouching in her seat.

"Well you two better decide because he's grabbing our drinks right now" Nick moved his gaze down to the table and we all acted natural. I looked at her and she looked nervous. I was frozen, not knowing what to do, until she grabbed one of my hands and held it on top of the table. She relaxed and I decided to just play with her fingers with one while the other stayed in my lap. I looked up when I heard footsteps and of course, the waiters eyes were locked on our hands.

"Oh my goodness I am so sorry I didn't know you were together" he was quick to speak and the guilty look on his face made me feel bad.

"Oh no you're fine" Deena quickly reassured and his face calmed down before he started placing our drinks down. I let go of her hand and looked to see an upset look on her face before she saw me looking and smiled.

"Are you all ready to order?" He smiled awkwardly and we al let out a yes. We ordered and nick grabbed a napkin, drawing small dots with a pen he brought (no idea why).

"Who wants to play squares?" He smiled and Deena immediately raised her hand with the biggest grin on her face. I laughed at her and felt a small light feeling in my stomach.

Why did I, though?
