Deena~

I woke up on the couch and realized I had fallen asleep during the movie. I looked at my phone and saw that it was 8:24, and got up. I grabbed my half empty cup of coffee and brought it to the kitchen, washing it before I went back to my room and showered. I try to keep my mind away from the reoccurring thoughts of last night while I listen to U2 and smashing pumpkins. once I was out of the shower, I went back to the kitchen and started making toast. I checked my phone and saw that I had a text from last night and it was from Karl. It was a simple thank you for calling him and letting him know that everything was OK sent a small "I'm sorry ". I shot him a text back saying no problem, and don't overthink it. I had to work today which I was not excited for, especially since I did not sleep good. I put on a the black shirt that I had a white collar attached to it with the Gryffindor mascot printed in white. I threw on some khakis and a pair of Red vans. I threw my hair up in a sloppy ponytail before grabbing my keys phone and wallet. I walked out to my car and got comfortable before driving away. I work at record store, which is super fucking cliché and funny. I love my job though. To where I'm at my best friend. Then five minutes later I showed up to Karmen's records, and walked in.

"Deena! You haven't worked in like four days" I heard a a deeper voice say. I turned around and saw G, my coworker. His name was actually Gavin, but he hates his name so we just call him G.

" yeah I know I took off the weekend but I didn't work Monday or Tuesday. It felt weird. " I laughed while walking to the back of the shop to put my things in my locker, and clock in. He followed behind can we continue to have small talk about our shifts, which was going to be long. I work ten to eight, which is closing time. He came in at eight and he doesn't get off until six.

"They got more copies of Zeppelin IV?" I asked Excitedly. For some reason, that specific record always sells out. We are in allowed to buy or hold while we're on the shift unless it's for somebody else, so when those few copies come in, they always get bought. There was a small rack with five of the records closer to the front of the store.

" they did! And today it seems like it's going to be slow so hopefully you will finally get your copy." He smiled brightly before he went back to organizing the old records, which normally come in from the donations, or from management find some.

Flash forward to seven. Work was boring, as usual. There were two copies of the Zepplin album left and I was very excited. That's kind of all I've been thinking about today, I haven't bothered to check my phone or do do anything for that matter. I was fixing some records that were out of order from people moving them around before saying goodbye to G. Once I was done, I went back to the cash register and put a record on the player. One of the best things about this job is that we get the sample records, and play them in the shop instead of having a radio. Although it's very nice, if you mess up a record you have to pay for it. You don't need to get to take it home. I had a dire straits record playing when I heard the door ding and a tall guy walked in. Super super tall guy.

" hi welcome to Carmen's let me know if you need any help or have any questions!" I smiled. He simply nodded, which was kind of weird considering it normally when people come in they're very talkative. He walked around for about 15 minutes and I could see he collected a few records. From what I could see it looks like he grabbed the police synchronicityII, Pink Floyd: the wall, and a newer copy which was channel ORANGE by Frank Ocean. He walked up to the register and placed them down.

"Will that be all today?" I smiled. I wrapped them before I placed his records in individual small brown bags. He looked around like he was looking for something. "Oh! And original copy of Synchronicity II. That's a good find." I laughed remembering someone brought in three last week. I took one.

"Yeah it is I'm pretty happy about it." He let out a slight smile. I waited for him to answer before I confirmed his order.

"That will be 2-"

"Do you have-"

We paused for a second waiting for one of us to talk. I let out a small chuckled as he tried not to. I motioned my hand for him to talk.

"Sorry" he finally laughed. "I was just wondering if you have any Led Zeppelin records" I paused for a second before nodding and pointing to the rack.

"I'll get it" I smiled before walking over and grabbing it, ringing it up. "They always get small amounts of copies and they're gone by the day so I can never get one" I laughed.

"Well you're closing soon, and there's still one-" he was interrupted by the bell and a man with his, I'm guessing 16, year old daughter. We greeted each other. I started printing his receipt before I watched as the girl came back up to the front and grabbed the last record. My jaw dropped and I facepalmed while letting out a frustrated chuckle.

"Oof" the guy muttered, which actually made me laugh. "That blows"

"Yeah" I laughed while turning around and changing the record. I had to go over and grab on from the shelf behind the register.

"Oh I forgot to look somewhere I need to look" the guy said quickly. I turned around and watched him rush over to the back corner of the shop where the reggae records were.

The dad and daughter came to check out and I rung up their records, not even paying attention to what they were getting. I was pretty upset and I did not want to see that record leave the store.

"Have a nice day!" I said nicely as they just walked out.

"They didn't have it" the guy walked back up. "Oh and those pens are nice" he said weirdly while reaching over to the pens and putting one back. When did he take that?! I saw him drop a piece of paper on his way out. "Have a nice day" he said while walking out the door.

"Hey you dropped this" I tried running over to give it to him. He turned around and smiled and shook his head no. I grabbed the paper before going back to he register. It was closing time now. I turned the 'open' light off before deciding to finally open the paper.

'The girl put the record back, I assume she was told to put it back. Check behind the Marley records when you close. :)
-Clay

My eyes lit up as I sprinted to the Bob Marley records, and sure enough, he hid it there. I smiled softly before looking outside. I saw a car zoom away when I looked. I let out a sigh of relief before buying it. I walked out and locked up the shop before driving home. I put the record on my player, enjoying the soft tones of Going to California playing in the background. I decided to send a tweet out.

'Thank you to the guy at the record store :)'

For some reason everyone was freaking out saying I found a boyfriend. Jeezus I was just thanking this mysterious 'clay' kid. I wish I could have said thank you before he zoomed away. I let the record finish before checking Twitter again. Nothing was really happening so I decided to put my phone down, but right before I let go of it I got a notification. It was a DM.
