Chapter 32: Years Pass By

Two black Anbu members appeared before the Hokage. "Yes, Lord Eigth." The two anbu members said.

"I received the news that both of you had succeeded in the mission."

The two Anbu members nodded. "You're new mission is to stay in the village for a few weeks."

"Excuse me Lord Eigth, but there is a lot of other missions that need to be finished." The girl in the mask said.

Konohamaru smiled, "there is also a family that misses both of you. So both of you go spend time with your families."

Both members removed their masks revealing Kenzo and Himawari, "Yes, Lord Eigth."

They disappeared and reappeared in front of a building.

Konohamaru in his office thought back to that day. The day Himawari has asked to join the Black Anbu.

"Lord Eigth" Himawari bowed. He knew by her greeting that she had come to see him as a kunochi and not as his niece.

"Yes?" He asked.

"I come to request to join the Black Anbu."

Konohamaru stayed silent upon hearing her request. "Why do you wish to join the Black Anbu?"

Himawari lifted her gaze, "the black anbu lacks members. When my dad was Hokage he released many black anbu members due to the peace there was but since his death we have lost many allies and the black anbu members has not increase. I'm a Jonin with the ability to be in the black anbu."

"Himawari, the black anbu requires for you to be willing to kill. I can't allow you to do that."

"Lord Eight, I believe you are mixing your personal feelings into this. I come to you not as your niece but as a kunochi of Konoha."

Konohamaru knew she was right. He also knew she had the ability to be in the black anbu. But could he really allow her? She had just turned 14 a few months ago.

"You will be under probation for three months. If you show potential I shall allow you to continue."

"As you say, Lord Eighth."

That same day Kenzo had appeared before the Hokage. "To what do I owe your visit."

"I request you let me join the Black Anbu."

Konohamaru sighed, another one, "why do you wish to join the black anbu?"

"Lord Eight, I won't lie. I wish to join for Himawari. I am aware she has requested to join and you have allowed her. I believe she should have someone she knows with her. I want to look after her."

"You do realize this will affect you? You will have to kill people."

Kenzo nodded, "I am fully aware. I'm an Uchiha, killing someone won't affect me. I am only concerned for her."

"Very well."

That day two years ago he had allow both of them to join. Kato had also requested but Konohamaru denied. He knew Kato wouldn't be able to handle it. He was training to be a medic ninja and wasn't prepare to kill.

In the village Himawari and Kenzo walked. Finally they were dressed in regular civilian clothes. As they walked they saw Kato with Sakura and Sasuke.

"Kenzo! Himawari!" Kato yelled excitedly as he saw his old teammates. He rushed towards them and hugged them. "I haven't seen you two in months."

"Kenzo!" Sakura pulled him into a tight hug. He hugged his mother back. He then gave a swift nod towards his father who nodded back.

Kenzo and Kato were now taller than Sasuke. Sasuke felt odd at how fast his kids had grown. Sakura hugged Himawari who smiled. They chatted for a while until Kato interrupted them once again, "Hayami Sensei!"

Hayami begun walking towards them as she saw her old students. "Wow, you two have grown quite a lot."

"You know Hayami Sensei, now that I look at you. You are pretty short." Kenzo commented as he realized he had to look down to be able to see her. She was up to his chest.

"I'm not that short!" Hayami said defensively as she glared at the Kato and Kenzo.

"You are short, Hayami." Itachi voiced as he appeared besides her.

"After so many years, you still haven't given up that stalker habit of yours."

Itachi narrowed his eyes at her. The rest of them exchanged glances with eachother as they noticed their exchange.

"Are you going to visit Hanabi?"

Himawari nodded, "I want to meet my little cousin. I heard he was born a week ago."

Sakura and Hayami nodded.

"I have a lot of people to see, I'll see you all around" she waved by to all of them and ran off to find Ino and Sai.

"Kenzo, follow me." Sasuke ordered.

Kenzo followed his dad. "What do you need?"

"How are your eyes?" Sasuke asked.

"They are fine. I've used the mangekyo sharingan at most two times these past two years. I don't really have a need for it."

Sasuke felt a sense of pride. His son would definitely pass him.

Sasuke smirked, "I doubt you can beat me without it."

Kenzo scoffed, "I'm not the same kid that fought you five years ago."

"I guess we will have to see one of these days just how much you have grown."

"Any time, papa."

Sasuke had a small smile on his face as he patted his sons back. Things were finally going back to normal.
