Chapter 12: Chunin Exams Part 1

All the senseis stood before the Hokage. Hayami, Tenten, Kiba, and Sai waited for the Hokage to speak.

"The Chunin Exams will be different this year" Konohamuru informed them.

"How different?" Hayami asked.

"The first two stages will remain the same. The only changes are being made to the third and last stage. In the third stage they will fight randomly like usual but with the exception that each team member must pass in order to advance to the final. The final will be a team battle therefore all members must pass."

All of the ninjas nodded. Hayami felt a sense of eagerness. The time was getting closer and closer. With these exams she will be able to see how far her young ninjas had come.

"Let the Chunin Exams begin then"

"You have all made it to the third stage of the Chunin exams. From this point on it will be an individual battle."

So far Sai's, Tenten's, Kiba's, and Hayami's team had made it to the third stage. But from this point on it was up to them to advance to the next stage. None of the young ninjas knew that every member must defeat there opponent to move onto the next stage.

Along with the Hidden Leaf Village ninjas stood the teams of some Sand village ninjas, Mist village ninjas, Rock village ninjas, and Cloud village ninjas.

After a few battles the next match was finally from Hayami's team.

Kenzo v.s. Haruto

Haruto was a ninja from the cloud village. Himawari and Kato encouraged their teammate. As they battled Hayami found herself relaxed. She knew Haruto had nothing against Kenzo.

Despite Kenzo not awakening the sharingan his ninjutsu was exceptional. Kato had also not awaken the sharingan but his taijutsu and chakra control was amazing. She knew her team would make it to the finals.

In a few minutes the battle was over and Kenzo had advanced to the finals.

Hayami smiled proudly at her student. She then made eye contact with Tenten. They both have each other a warm smile. Tenten was the only other sensei whose team was composed of children from Naruto's friends. Her team was composed of Dai, Shiro, and Tami. Dai is the son of Kiba. Shiro the son of Shino and Tami the daughter of Shikamaru and Temari.

All of Tenten's team passed. She walked closer to Tenten congratulating her.

"Thank you" Tenten smiled at her friend. She then turned her attention to the next battle. "She will do amazing"

Hayami nodded agreeing, "she most certainly well afterall her dad was the number one hyperactive knucklehead."

Tenten laughed agreeing and Hayami joined her but in their eyes a hint of sadness could be seen.

Himawari stood in front of a sand village ninja. She got into a defensive position. The Hyuga style battle position.

The battle begun and the intensity was felt. The young ninja from the sand village was a distance attacker while Himawari was a short distance attacker.

The ninja made sure to keep her at a distance and threw his attack at her. Himawari defended against his attack. The sand ninja was doing good but he was draining his chakra quickly. If Himawari could get a hit in she would win the battle immediately.

As if on cue Himawari saw an opening and took the opportunity. She used her gentle fist technique to block his chakra point in his arm. At an extraordinary speed she struck every chakra point making it impossible for him to move. Winning the match she made her way towards her teammates.

All three of them had passed the third stage.

"All of you that have passed will now go with your sensei's to receive further training. The last part of the Chunin Exams will be in one month."

Hayami let the young ninjas go home to rest. Tomorrow she would inform them of the changes being made.

"Good morning Hayami-Sensei" the young ninjas bowed and stood in a straight line side by side.

"Good morning, I hope you all were able to rest because starting today you all will undergo intense training."

"Hai" the three ninjas replied.

"You will be split up to train with a different sensei for the exam. I have picked out sensei's based on the abilities you excel in."

Three figures stepped out and stood a foot behind Hayami.

"Kato, your sensei will be Sakura. Remember she is your sensei at this moment not your mom." Hayami said as she saw Kato about to run to hug his mom. Kato straightened up and nodded. "Kenzo, your sensei will be Kakashi and Himawari you will continue to be trained by me."

The three young ninjas walked towards their new sensei's.

"Please teach us, Sensei!" They exclaimed at the same time and bowed uniformly.
