The Light That Seeps Through the Trees

Chapter 33: Kidnapping Part 1

Shinobi begun to run around the village all chasing three men who carried three bodies. The three men split making the shinobi split. Sasuke and Kenzo ran out as they felt the change in chakras.

Himawari was already out chasing one of the men. "Lock-on" her byakugan activated as she ran. She was faster then most ninjas. She easily caught up to him. She was about to hit him when another masked man jumped in front allowing for the other man to get around. Soon she was surrounded by five masks men.

She smirked, "you'll regret this." She begun using her gentle fist technique. Hayami appeared next to Himawari. Hayami used her bracelet to absorb their chakra and kill them afterwards.

Himawari grabbed her ninjato slicing the head of three men as Hayami killed the other two. Sasuke, Itachi, and Kenzo appeared besides them. Himawari took of running once again. They all followed running behind her.

They all came to a stop as they saw the shinobi standing in the forest as if they were in a daze. Kenzo analyzed them, "they are under a genjutsu."

Doing the hand sign necessary they released them.

"We weren't able to get them." One of the shinobi said.

They all found themselves in the Hokages office. "Who did they take?" Konohamaru asked.

"They took, Tami, Natsuki, and Kato."Iruka said.

Neji, Shikamaru, Temari, and Sasuke stepped forward, "we demand you allow us to go look for them."

Konohamaru stared at the face of the parents who were desperate to get their children back. He found himself shaking his head either way. "You can't leave. You're our best shinobi. If you leave the village will be left un protected."

Himawari stepped forward, "I will go. I was able to get a clear sense of their chakra. I also saw his face with my byakugan."

"I will also go with her." Kenzo spoke up standing besides Himawari.

"No, we are going" Neji said.

"Uncle Neji, you have a clan to look after. I will make sure to bring Natsuki back." Himawari tried convince Neji.

"We will bring them back" Kenzo affirmed.

Himawari nodded, "Tami is a dear friend of ours, Kato is our former teammate, and Natsuki is my cousin. We will make sure to bring them back no matter the cost."

"I would also like to go. I was with them when it all happened. I can also help locate them." Iruka stated.

Konohamaru nodded agreeing, "Himawari Uzumaki, Iruka Sensei, and Kenzo Uchiha. You are to leave immediately and retrieve Natsuki Hyuga, Tami Nara, and Kato Uchiha."

The three wasted no time and disappeared. Both Kenzo and Himawari appeared at the entrance with their black Anbu outfit. Iruka wore his usual Shinobi outfit.

"Let's go" Kenzo ordered.

"It's them, the scientific group we have been keeping tabs on."

"I know" Kenzo replied.

"Who?" Iruka asked.

"It's a group we have been investigating. Ever since the death of Shizune. The man that attacked us many years ago is part of a scientific experiment. We don't know much. The information we have gathered is that they look for powerful clans to steal their chakra and use it. They are most likely the ones who took them." Himawari explained.

Iruka nodded taking the information in.

"If it is them that would explain why they took Tami, Kato, and Natsuki. Natsuki holds the byakugan. Kato is an Uchiha. Tami is a Nara with the shadow paralysis and has royal blood in her as a descendent of the sand village." Kenzo added.

"We have an idea of where their hide out is."

They travelled at a fast pace never faltering. After two days they had arrived at what appeared to be an old building.

"This is an abandoned orphanage" Iruka commented.

Himawari begun to pull her black sleeve up her arm. "You'll need to bite me, Kenzo."

Kenzo hesitantly looked from her arm to her face. "I'll be fine, Himawari."

Himawari shook her head and took a step towards him, "we will need your mangekyo sharingan to undo the genjutsu. If you bite me it diminishes the strain the mangekyo sharingan has on your eyes."

Kenzo grabbed her arm gently brining it to his mouth and biting onto her. Iruka watched amazed as Himawari didn't even flinch.

Himawari brought her sleeve down and Kenzo activated his mangekyo sharingan. "Mangekyo Sharingan"

Himawari had a soft smile on her face as he heard him utter the words. It seemed as if his voice always went a tone deeper whenever he said that. As she looked at him with his mangekyo sharingan she realized why he had so many girls after him. He was really handsome and charismatic.

Shaking her head she focused back on the mission. Kenzo undid the genjutsu and they were able to see the true facade of the building.

The windows were no longer broken. The walls were painted a bright white. It looked like a high tech building.
