CELESTE

I excitedly opened the door and was about to get off of the car. I'm always passionate about school, doing, and giving my best to become a top-performing student.

Being a lawyer is the only way I can see to seek justice for what happened to my mother, and Hunter is so proud of me every time he heard that I'm doing better than anyone else.

"Wait a minute," Hunter grabs my wrist, and my head swiftly turned at him.

My forehead creases and I give him a quizzical look, "Is there anything wrong?" I asked in confusion, and he sighed.

"You forget something," and he pointed his high-bridged nose.

I giggled at the thought and abruptly lean my face to him, cup his cheeks, and he did the same as we brushed our nose together, "I wish you luck," he murmured when he gently patted my head.

He sweet smiled at me, and I showed off my whole and perfect teeth.

There it goes again; my heart skips in a tickling sensation, a warm touch that came from his genuine smile and the way he cares for me.

"Thank you, master. I promise I'll always make you proud!" And I showed him my best and my fighting spirit.

"Go on. We don't want a mark of tardiness, right?"

"Hmmm! Bye, master. See you at home!" sabay baba ko sa kotse at nag mamadali akong tumakbo papasok sa gate ng school.

Bagong araw na naman para pumasok--- and school isn't bad, it's actually my safe place to enjoy that I'm still a living person.

Napatingin pa ako sa itaas kung saan ay maaliwalas ang kalangitan at masingkad ang araw.

"Mama, hintayin mo lang... bibigyan ko ng hustisya ang pagkamatay mo. I'll be a lawyer in the future."  Hunter believes that I can be, he is the one who pushes to study even I lost my will and he won in convincing me, kaya hindi ko sasayangin ang pagkakataong 'to.

Everything went smooth, naging maganda ang performance ko sa school at hindi ko maiwasang maging masigla sa bawat segundo sa loob ng klase.

Mas natutuwa at desidido pa akong pag butihan pa ng husto ang pag aaral, "And for our top one---"

"Ayan na ayan na... sasabihin na ang top one." excited na nag tulakan ang mga classmates ko sa likuran.

Pero mas excited ako ipakita kay Hunter itong score ko sa exam, siguradong matutuwa siya sa oras na malaman niyang naka-perfect ako.

"Celeste Yui Mendez! Let's give her a round of applause." sabay palakpak ni Ma'am at nanlaki ang mata kong napatitig sa kanilang lahat.

"Celeste, ikaw ang top 1. Ayiiieeeeh!" tuwang tuwa pa na sabi ni Monay, katabi at ka-klase ko.

"A-ako?"

"That's unfair!" sigaw ng isa kong ka-klase sa unahan at malakas pa niyang hinampas ang lamesa, tumayo at inis ang mga matang nakatitig sa akin.

"Nasa last row nga siya eh tyaka transferee siya kaya paano siya magiging top 1!?" sigaw niya at nag simulang mag bulong bulungan ang mga classmates namin.

Hindi ko gustong maging top 1, masaya na ako sa mga nakuha kong scores na siguradong ikaka-proud ni Hunter.

"Carla, ma upo ka. Grades ang basehan at hindi ang ano pa man.. Please calm down."
