FIFTY FIVE

"I'm pregnant. Taehyung is the father."

Suddenly there was silence. Jimin walked towards Reese and she suddenly looked down on ther fingers.

"I'm pregnant. Believe me, please."
"Did you tell Taehyung?" Jimin's voice softens and I'm even more surprised now.

"Park Jimin, get your ass back here and close that door. We don't need anymore lies from her. She's obviously lying."
"But Yoongi hyung, what if she's not?"
"Jimin."
"I know she lied to us a lot of times, but what if if really is true?" I wanted to say something but there were no words that came out of my mouth. I'm suddenly disappointed that of all the days that she can barge in this house, she chose today.

"We need proof, Reese. Proof or you're not pregnant at all."
"Here." Reese suddenly pulled this small this stick from her bag, which turned out to be a pregnancy test which clearly shows that she is pregnant.

"How can we be so sure that this is yours?"
"I have this one as well from the doctor." She handed out an ultrasound which also shows that she's pregnant.

"You're 8 weeks pregnant."
"Yes"
"But aren't you still together with Sejin? Our staff?"
"I— we.." Reese looked like she panicked a little and tried to look calm but unfortunately, she failed. Jimin is still beside Reese and the boys were looking at the ultrasound results.

"Let's do a DNA test." Namjoon stood up and clasped his hands together. The boys agreed they'll let Reese do a DNA test before they tell Taehyung. But I guess it's too late...

"DNA test for what, hyu— what are you doing here?" Taehyung was suddenly there. Reese ran towards Taehyung and hugged him as she cry.

"Taehyung, I'm pregnant. Please. Listen to me."
"What are—"
"I'm pregnant and you're the father."
Taehyung looked confused, but he didn't say anything after Reese told him he was the father of the child she's carrying.

"Taehyung, let us not believe her yet. She lied to you so many times."
"But what if it's mine? Shouldn't I take responsibility?" While the boys discuss the issue, I noticed Reese looked a little to the side where the boys can't see her face and smiled. That smile. She's up to no good again.

"Uhm.. I as much as I want to keep my mouth shut and leave the issue to you guys, I think it's best that we do this DNA thing before Taehyung decides on what to do, or if he really has something to do with.. you know, the child." Reese looked at me like she's already cursing me on her mind but I don't care. We need to be sure. Plus, she ruined this day for me and Jimin.

"Sure. I'll go to my doctor and have this DNA test then I'll come back. Just please promise me that when I return, you won't hide Taehyung from me." Reese had tears rolling down her cheeks as she speak, and I can't help but roll my eyes at her. Jimin saw me and held my hand and whispered,

"I don't trust her too but let's  just give her the benefit of the doubt."
"Says the one who suddenly approached her when she said she was pregant." This time, I'm annoyed at Jimin too for acting that way earlier. I know he's an angel and he has a pure heart, but really, how can she believe Reese right away after she said she's pregnant and Taehyung was the father then tell me he doesn't trust her as well? Ugh.

And with that, Reese was gone, Jimin's proposal was completely forgotten, and everybody looked like heaven and earth were placed on their shoulders.

"The fuck was that?"
"Yah Yoongi-ah. You've been cursing too much lately. We have kids here."
"The f was that?" Yoongi repeated what he said as he chuckle and flash his sweet gummy smile.

Taehyung was standing by the window, near the garden where the boys exposed Reese for cheating on him. He must've been shocked from all that's happening. I'm pretty sure this was too overwhelming for him. Jimin saw Taehyung and he stood up, then walked to where Taehyung was. I was sitting on the couch as I look at Jimin coming to Taehyung. He suddenly hugged Taehyung, that's when I realized that Taehyung was crying and he was standing there because he doesn't want us to see him like that. But of course, Jimin knows. Taehyung is his best friend after all.

JIMIN'S POV

I was sitting in the couch with Y/N, thinking about what just happened. I feel sorry that we had to re-schedule my proposal to Y/N because of Reese's sudden appearance. I know I can just pop the question after what happened but I want it to be memorable. What happened earlier was also memorable but I don't want her to remember that when I proposed to her, Taehyung's crazy ex barged in and announced that she's pregnant. I want that day to be just all about her, because that's what she deserves.

Taehyung suddenly walked near the window by the garden, he must've been overwhelmed with the news. I feel bad for him, really. Suddenly, I noticed him wiping something on his cheek and that's when I realized that he was crying. I stood up and went to him.

"Taeh—"
"Am I really a bad person?"
"What?"
"I.. I just don't know what to think. I feel like this is all happening because of what I did to Y/N. Jimin, I just did that because I love Reese so much and I thought—" I hugged Taehyung tight as he sobs, It's been so long since he cried this much. The last time I saw him like this was when he caught Reese cheating on him. I can't believe he'd cry this way again because of the same person.

"As much as I want to scold you, I know you don't need that right now so I'll just hug and listen to you."
"What if I'm the father?"
"Then you'll make a great father, I'm sure of that. You've been wanting to have kids, right?"
"Yes but not with someone I can no longer trust."
"Well, let's just hope having a child will change how she is. But let's not think about that yet. Let's wait for the DNA test result." Taehyung nods and Jimin finally breaks the hug.

"But do you think you really are the father? The ultrasound says she's 8 weeks pregnant."
"Who else could it be, I'm the only o—"
"No, you're not."
"Right. Let's wait for that DNA test result."
"Let's hope for the best, Taehyung."
