YOUR POV
It had been three days since my last hangout with BTS and Taehyung at the park, and now, I was back to work. It hadn't even been half a day, but I already felt exhausted. My body had grown so accustomed to doing nothing during my four-day vacation leave that it was hard to adjust back to the grind.
"Y/N? Are you busy? There's a customer here who wants to talk to you," Mr. Song said as he approached me while I was prepping orders. The last thing I needed was another complaint from a customer.
"Alright, Mr. Song. I'll be there in a minute," I replied, offering a polite smile as he left the kitchen. Wait... a customer wants to talk to me, and he doesn't look mad? That's odd.
I quickly removed my apron and checked myself in the mirror, making sure I looked presentable before meeting the customer. As I walked out of the kitchen, I was greeted by two familiar faces, both flashing warm smiles. One of them waved excitedly, signaling me to come over.
"Jimin, Hoseok! What brings you here?" I smiled as I approached them, and Hoseok gestured for me to sit next to him.
"Ah, Jimin wanted—"
"We were just around the area, saw this place, and got hungry, so we decided to eat here," Jimin interrupted Hoseok, giving me a mischievous grin while Hoseok shot him a look.
"I see... and how did you know I work here?" I asked, turning to Hoseok and then back to Jimin. It had been a few days since we last talked, and it was nice to see them again. I hadn't even been active on SNS with them, so I wondered how they found out.
"Well... we overheard your name from one of the staff, and we thought it was you. So, we asked them to call you." Hoseok glanced at Jimin as he explained, and I noticed they exchanged a funny look. What was that about?
I decided to stay with them for a while since the restaurant wasn't too busy. We made small talk, and it was great to catch up. Jimin and Hoseok were both so bright and fun to be around—no wonder they were called the "sunshine line." It was a bit of a shame Taehyung wasn't here... wait, what?
"Uh, Y/N, what time do you finish work?" Jimin asked, breaking my thoughts as I was still chuckling at one of Hoseok's jokes. I turned to face him, and he gave me a smile that made his eyes crinkle into perfect crescent shapes, and his dimple deepened. Honestly, it was impossible not to smile back.
"I'll be done in about two hours. Why?" I asked, curious.
"How about having dinner with me... uh, I mean, us?" Jimin added, his cheeks flushing slightly as he looked embarrassed, which made him even cuter. I almost wanted to pinch his cheeks.
"Sure, that sounds good! Just let me know where and I'll be there," I replied, smiling at both of them.
"Ah... I'll pass," Hoseok suddenly interjected, standing up. "I promised Yoongi hyung I'd have lamb skewers with him tonight."
"Guess I have to go now. See you later, Y/N! Thanks for chatting!" Hoseok hugged me, making the staff look over at us. I felt my face heat up from the attention, but he only chuckled, seeing how red I was. After tapping Jimin's shoulder, he made his exit.
"I'll... just wait here for you," Jimin said, a little sheepish. "Will that be alright?"
"Are you sure? Two hours is a long time to wait. I'd be bored out of my mind," I said, genuinely concerned. I couldn't even sit still for an hour, let alone two.
"I'll be fine," Jimin said, flashing me a playful wink. "I've waited weeks already. Two hours is nothing."
I raised an eyebrow, wondering what he meant by that, but he had already turned to check his phone, leaving me with even more questions. I excused myself to get back to work.
A couple of hours later, I checked my watch and saw there were only five minutes left in my shift. I quickly rushed to my locker, fixed myself up, and went to check on Jimin.
As I approached, I noticed he had fallen asleep while waiting for me. I couldn't help but smile as I sat across from him, taking in his peaceful, angelic features. His fluffy cheeks, sharp jawline, and soft, plum lips—all of it was just perfect. I was mesmerized by how serene he looked. I couldn't bring myself to wake him, so I waited quietly, just admiring the view.
A few minutes later, Jimin opened his eyes and shot up, clearly startled when he saw me sitting there. His concern was evident, probably because he thought he'd slept through a couple of hours.
"How long have you been sitting there?" he asked, clearly flustered.
"Relax," I reassured him with a smile. "I just sat down. Sorry you had to wait so long, though. You really shouldn't have waited for me."
Jimin stood up, brushing himself off, and we both walked out of the restaurant together. He opened the door for me, and my heart skipped a beat. Why am I feeling so many butterflies? I mean, we're just going to dinner, it's not even a date... is it?
