TWENTY FIVE

"I was out with Y/N."

"Okay? And where did you go?" Jungkook continued to ask questions, while the others stayed silent.

"And why—"

"Hyung, you're not allowed to ask anything. Just listen." Jungkook cut off Jin's words before he could continue, causing the other members to chuckle.

"We went to the beach. I told you before I wanted to watch the sunset with someone."

"Didn't you watch it before with Reese?"

"I was supposed to, but when I was about to take her, she cancelled on our date, only to find out she—"

"Okay, okay, no need to go there." Hoseok hyung interrupted, clearly sensing where the story was headed.

"So uh... yeah. That was just it. I wanted to watch it with her, so we did, and that's it. Sorry I raised my voice earlier." I explained, looking apologetically at Jin hyung who I had raised my voice at earlier. He stood from his chair and hugged me.

"Sorry I scolded you earlier. I just thought you were out with Reese, and you know how much I don't want her to hurt you again." I nodded and smiled at him.

"And because of that, SOMEONE told me you were out with her." Jin hyung looked at Jimin, whose eyes were wide, his hands waving frantically.

"No! You misunderstood! I asked him earlier if he was seeing Reese, but I told you he ran out and didn't answer me!" Jimin was now in full panic mode as Jungkook stood up and walked toward him.

"Yeah, but earlier you told Taehyung hyung to stop lying, making everybody think he wasn't telling the truth." Jungkook then jumped on Jimin's lap, causing him to release the loudest "oooof." We all laughed, and Jungkook, despite his weight, was clearly enjoying himself.

We all joined in, playfully smacking Jimin for the misunderstanding he caused... No, I was just kidding. But we definitely had a good laugh at his expense.

We continued talking after my incident with Jin hyung, and they asked me all sorts of questions about my time with Y/N. Eventually, they got to the personal stuff—like if I actually liked her. I told them I wasn't sure yet but wasn't closing any doors if the chance for something more came up. They all nodded, and after everything was settled, we went back to sleep.

As I lay down on my bed, I decided to send Y/N a message.

Me:
Y/N? Are you still awake?

Y/N:
I'm about to sleep now.
What's up, Tae?

Me:
Nothing much, you busy?
What are you doing?

Y/N:
Nothing much.
I was talking to Jimin, just a few seconds ago.
I'm sleepy, Tae.
Talk to you tomorrow.
Goodnight 💜

Me:
Jimin? Why?

But this time, she didn't reply. I wondered why Jimin called her earlier, but I pushed the thought aside. It wasn't anything serious, and I didn't want to overthink it. I put my phone down and tried to sleep.

YOUR POV

I didn't reply to Taehyung after he asked why Jimin called me. Not because I didn't want to tell him anything, but because I just didn't have anything to share. He had simply called to say hi and hung up. Besides, there were only a few hours left before April 1st, and I had to finish preparing the photo I was posting on Twitter.

Everybody was changing their icons to BTS' derp faces, and I happily joined in by switching mine to Jin's. I waited until 12 a.m. before posting, knowing it was the perfect time to kick off the biggest prank of the year. I clicked "tweet," and instantly, my notifications exploded.
