NINETEEN

"Let's meet at the park!"

Huh? Why does he suddenly want to meet up at the park?

"Sure. I'll be there in 10 minutes."

I arrived at the park and since it's already dark, the place is now empty. As I walk towards the place, I see a familiar figure sitting on the swing.

"Taehyung?"

Taehyung turned around and flashed his angelic boxy smile and I instantly melt. He then tapped the swing next to him, signaling me to sit and I willingly obliged.

He was silent for a while when he suddenly turned to me and looked at me in the eye.

"Y/N.. what's the most stupid thing you've ever done for love?" I was taken aback by his question but looking at him, he seemed serious and I looked up at the stars, thinking about what to answer.

"I don't know... I haven't really fallen in love before." I looked back at Taehyung and it seems like he doesn't believe me.

"Come on, Y/N. For a pretty girl like you, that would be completely impossible."

"But it IS true. I mean it's not that I haven't had a boyfriend before but I didn't consider that as real love... it's more of like a pupple love, I guess." Taehyung nods and looked at the stars in the sky. He smiles widely without showing his teeth as he continues to look up the sky and I found myself staring at him. His face shines brightly under the night sky, eyes glowing and his side profile screams perfection.

"I guess I wouldn't know if I'm going to do something stupid or not." Taehyung looks back at me and I instantly turned my head away from him, not wanting him to notice that I was staring at him for so long.

"What do you mean?" I asked and he shrugged, disregarding my question. Instead, he stood up and positioned behind me. He then held the chains of the swing I was on and pulled it back until it was high enough then instantly pushing me forward.

"Ya! Kim Taehyung!! What are you doing!!"

"Having fun with you!" He continued to push me harder until the swing reaches the highest it can get to. I squealed in delight and fear but since I know Taehyung is having a good time, I allowed him to do what he wants. I have no idea what he's going through but I just know he deserves to be happy.

"Taehyung, hurry up! Why are you such a grandpa!" I was running towards the ice cream parlor after we're done playing at the park.

"You're gonna regret calling me grandpa!" He suddenly speed up and in an instant my feet were no longer touching the ground. Taehyung already had me in his arms and was already spinning around as I squeal my lungs out.

He was still chuckling as he stands me to my feet and Taehyung suddenly puts his forehead in mine and whispered something I didn't quite understand.

"I don't know what you're doing to me but it's working."

I closed my eyes, still trying to catch my breath from all the running and squealing. When I realized Taehyung was too close I suddenly moved back and cleared my throat, embarrassed of what's happening.

"Uh, come on, grandpa! I mean, Taehyung. Let's go get ice cream" I acted as if nothing awkward happened and walked inside the ice cream shop, leaving Taehyung behind.

"I'm tired. Let's rest first." I nod and we both sat down on the steps just near the park to rest before going home. I pulled out my phone when it suddenly started ringing, SuMin is calling me...at this hour!

"Sorry, I have to take this." I looked apologetically at Taehyung and he nods. I then walked a bit further from Taehyung just incase SuMin decided to facetime me instead of just voice calling. I can't risk Taehyung being seen with me.

"SuMin what's up?"

"Don't what's up me. Where are you?"

"I'm at the park... just relaxing and stuff."

"Wow. Relaxing with your boyfriend?"

"No, I'm alone."

"Really? Anyway, I just called to check up on you. Are you doing well?"

"I am. How about you?"

"I'm good. I'm surprised that I'm starting to actually like it here."

"Don't enjoy yourself too much. I still need you here." I chuckled but it's nice that she's enjoying her stay there with her family.

"I won't don't worry. I miss you everyday! Update me okay! I'm always the one calling you, you rascal! Alright, that's just all. Just making sure you're good. Talk to you soon. Love you! Bye!" I ended the call with a smile on my face and walked back to where Taehyung was sitting. I found him still sitting adorably, his hoodie over his head while being on his phone.

I secretly took a quick photo of him and walked closer. He stood up the moment he noticed me going closer and grabbed my hand then started walking. Unlike earlier, he doesn't look calm but instead he looks bothered, like something happened. I wanted to ask what happend but again, I know that I am in no position to pry into his private life so I quietly walked and followed him.

"It's late. Come on I'll walk you home" I nod as I continue to look at Taehyung's worried face and looked down on our hands intertwined with each other which made me smile a little. It didn't take long before we reached my apartment and I walked towards the door before facing Taehyung.

"Thanks for tonight, Taehyung. I hope you at least had fun." Taehyung just nod and smiled at me then went on his way without saying anything. I tilted my head trying to understand what have just happened. Earlier he was all sweet and then he turned cold and distant. What did I do? What happened?

I went inside my house and took a quick shower then changed into my pajamas. I still can't figure out what happened to Taehyung when I left him during my phone call with SuMin but I hope it's nothing serious. I decided to desregard any negative thoughts and just tweet a photo I took of Taehyung earlier before sleeping.
