JIMIN'S POV

"Why do you care? You don't like her enough to make her your girlfriend, right? Mind your own business, Taehyung-ssi."

The words echo in my mind, fueling the anger that's been simmering inside me all night. I can't even begin to explain how disgusted I am by Taehyung. How could he say that about Y/N? He's lucky the other members stepped in before I could beat the hell out of him last night. I'm angry, hurt, and confused, all at once. He's my best friend, but what he did was unforgivable.

I can feel the tension in the room as I collapse into one of the chairs at the back. Hoseok hyung slides into the seat next to me. He's been quiet, watching everything unfold with a furrowed brow.

"I think you just went too far, Jimin," he says, his tone more resigned than scolding. I glance up and see Taehyung sitting on the floor, his back to the mirror, his hands nervously toying with his fingers. Maybe he's upset at what I said to him. But I don't regret a word. He needed to hear it.

"Hyung, remember, he was the one who said all that crap about Y/N. Why is he suddenly making a big deal about me and her going out?" I can feel my jaw tighten as the frustration builds again.

Hoseok sighs, rubbing the back of his neck. "Maybe he actually likes... I mean, liked her. Or maybe he's just afraid you'll tell Y/N that he and Reese are back together."

The confusion in Hoseok's voice only makes me shake my head. "What does that have to do with anything? He left Y/N, hyung. For Reese. And now he's acting like none of that ever happened."

I stand up, ready to leave, but Hoseok's grip on my wrist stops me. His eyes are steady, but there's something in his gaze that makes me hesitate.

"Yesterday, what you said to Taehyung... was it true?"

I freeze, my heart skipping a beat. I hadn't realized I said it out loud in the heat of the moment. The truth of my feelings, laid bare in front of everyone. But looking at Hoseok now, I know he deserves an answer.

I scratch the back of my head nervously, trying to find the right words. "Uhh, about that..." I let out a slow breath. "Yes, hyung. It was true."

Hoseok leans back in his chair, his eyes studying the ceiling as if trying to process it. I can feel the weight of the silence between us, and it's making me more anxious by the second. Finally, he turns back to face me, chuckling softly.

"Ya! Why do you look so guilty? I knew you liked her from the start, Jimin." His voice is light, but his eyes are sharp. "Remember that time we talked about why Taehyung suddenly agreed to the prank? You told me you'd watch over Y/N because you had this feeling Taehyung would only use her to move on. Knowing you, you wouldn't do that for any other girl unless you actually liked them."

I can't help but smile, my cheeks flushing slightly. I didn't realize I was that obvious. But then, my attention is drawn to Taehyung, sitting alone, his eyes glued to his phone as he smiles—probably texting Reese. The sight of it grates on my nerves, the fact that he's moving on with her without even considering Y/N, without making things right. I can feel the anger bubbling up again.

I stand up abruptly, unable to stay in the room any longer. "I'm leaving first. I still need to meet Y/N," I mutter, not bothering to wait for a response.

I make my way out of the practice room, the weight of the situation heavy on my mind. The walk to the dorm feels like it takes forever, but I don't stop. My only focus now is seeing Y/N. I don't want to waste another moment.

When I finally arrive at her place, I knock on the door.

"Jimin? I thought we were leaving at 4 pm?" Y/N peeks out from behind the door, still in her oversized shirt, her hair pulled up in a messy bun. She looks cute, like she just woke up from a nap.

I chuckle, leaning against the doorframe. "We finished early, so I figured I'd just come here. Why are you hiding behind the door? It's not like this is the first time I've seen you looking all... just-woke-up-ish."

Y/N's face flushes a deep red as she quickly shuts the door, running upstairs. I can't help but laugh. She's so cute. Taehyung is an absolute fool to let someone like her go.

A few moments later, Y/N comes down, now dressed in a plaid long-sleeve shirt and shorts. She looks... perfect. Like a total girlfriend. I feel my heart skip a beat. I try to play it cool, but inside, I'm a mess. "Okay, let's go," I say, standing up as I try to act normal.

But when Y/N smiles at me, it's impossible to hide the butterflies in my chest. I can't stop myself from feeling this way, and it's only getting harder to pretend that I'm okay with Taehyung's mess.
