FIFTY TWO

"Jimin? Why are you calling at this hour? Is there something wrong?" Y/N's voice sounded so sleepy and I can't blame her. It's already 2 am.

"I just.. I'm thinking of Taehyung."

"Is it because of her girlfriend?" I hear her sitting up on her bed and now I feel bad for waking her up.

"Uh yes. Look, y/n I'm sorry for waking you up, please sleep. You're not supposed to be awake at this hour."

"It's fine. You can tell me what's bothering you."

I started talking to Y/N about how much I felt bed for Taehyung, even though I know he got what he deserved, he's still my best friend and I care about him. We talked for a couple of minutes when I realized Y/N has already fallen asleep. I smiled as I hear her softly snore and decided to end the phone call so she can sleep peacefully.

"I love you."

Y/N POV

I just finished showering when my doorbell wouldn't stop ringing. Ugh, this Jimin is playing with the doorbell again. I hurriedly put on my clothes and went down to open the front door.

"Jimin, I told you not to play with my door—

..Taehyung?" 

I was surprised seeing him outside my door. He flashed his boxy smile at me and instantly changed his expression from bright to apologetic.

"He plays with your doorbell too?" Taehyung looked at me in the eye and I can't help but look down on my hands.

* FLASHBACK *

"What? Taehyung! Why do you keep ringing my doorbell? You can just enter anytime you want. You know the password, right?" He smiled his boxy smile at me and kissed my cheek.

"I know, Y/N. But if I do that you'll know it's me who's there. And I always want you see you looking so excited to open the door because I'm here." He's childish like this but it's like his charm or whatever you call it that I can't seem to get irritated when he does it. Instead, I find it so adorable.

"Alright. But if my doorbell gets broken you're gonna replace it."

"Sure. I'll buy as many as you like." Taehyung winked at me and I suddenly felt like my heart is about to explode.

"Promise you'll always be excited to meet me by your door when I ring it lots of times? And it's just me you'll feel excited to open your door to?"

"Taehyung, you're the only one who rings my doorbell countless of times."

"So you promise?"

"What should I promise?"

"Just say promise!"

"Okay, whatever. I promise."

"Okay. Last one to come to the park buys an ice cream!" And with that, he's already a few steps away from me, running towards the park.

* END OF FLASHBACK *

I suddenly felt my tears forming in my eyes. I'm not supposed to be affected anymore. But why am I being like this?

"I thought when I ring your doorbell many times, you'll know it's me. But I guess it's different now." Taehyung looked suddenly sad but smiled at me.

"Taehyung, you know—"

"Shh. It's fine. Care to go with me at the park?"

"How are you and Jimin getting along?"  Taehyung broke the silence that's been going on for more than an hour now. We're both at the swing, eating ice cream.

"We're getting along just fine. He's a very nice guy."

"Lucky." Taehyung said it like it's almost impossible to hear.

"Hm? What did you say?"  Even though I've heard him, I still asked to check if he'd say it again.

"Nothing. I said I'm still hungry." I nod and continued to eat my ice cream.

"Y/N.. I just wanna say I'm s—"

"Jimin??" I stood up right away as I picked up the call and left Taehyung on the swing. I wasn't able to hear what he was trying to say because my phone suddenly rang.

"Sure, we'll be there." I went back to the swing to see Taehyung just staring at the sunset, and has already finished his ice cream.

"Tae, Jimin said we need to go to the dorm now."

"We?"

"Yeah, I'm going there too."

"Ah. Cool. Let's go." He sound cold now as he stood up and started walking away without waiting for me.

I don't know how it will all turn out but I hope Taehyung takes it in calmly. The boys are planning something.
