"What did we miss?"
A lot, Namjoon. A lot.
I sigh, letting go of Jimin. He looks down at me lovingly, his eyes checking my cheek.
"Ya! Why is your cheek so red? What happened?" Jin suddenly stepped forward, pushing Jimin away. The rest of the members gathered around me, concern written all over their faces. Suddenly, I felt embarrassed—like I was the center of attention.
Jimin, ever the gentleman, let them check up on me while he entered the dorm to prepare an ice pack. We all followed him to the living room and settled in to talk.
"That fucker didn't even stop his crazy dog?!" Yoongi's anger was palpable, his tone sharp. The room went quiet as we waited for him to continue.
"Dog?" Jungkook looked between me and Yoongi, his brows furrowed in confusion.
"Yes. Taehyung's girlfriend is a dog," Yoongi clarified, his voice dripping with disdain.
"Hyung, I don't get it." Jungkook was genuinely confused now, his head tilted.
"A lady dog is called a bitch, Kook-ah. Yoongi used dog so he wouldn't say 'bitch,'" Namjoon explained, his voice calm. Jungkook's eyes widened as he processed it.
"Oooohhh. I see. She's a dog. Okay, hyung. Continue." Jungkook clapped his hands together, his signature bunny smile spreading across his face.
Yoongi sighed, rubbing his temples in frustration. "Anyway, that Taehyung needs to learn his lesson. I'm not gonna let this slip. Not this time. Just wait until he comes back. I'm gonna show him how much of an asshole he is!" Yoongi stood up and stormed off toward his room. His fury was evident in every step.
"I'm so disappointed, but maybe, just maybe, Taehyung was also surprised. He probably got torn between you and his girlfriend," Jin said, his voice softening with sympathy. "I know it's obvious, but I'll say it again—he loves Reese so damn much that maybe he was afraid of contradicting her because she might leave him again. And I think Taehyung doesn't want that. Not now, when he knows he doesn't have us anymore after what he did." Jin's words were reasonable, but I couldn't shake the frustration building inside me. How could he have just let Reese do that to me?
I put my face in my hands, letting out a long, frustrated sigh. The room fell silent, each of us lost in our own thoughts.
"I didn't expect it to be like this. I thought everything would get better after what happened between Y/N-noona and Taehyung-hyung. This is so disappointing. Reese-noona is not a good influence on him at all. Should we find a way to break them up?" Jungkook's voice cut through the silence. He was deep in thought, staring at the ceiling as if contemplating a solution.
"No, Kookie. We're not doing that. Reese is Taehyung's problem. Let him handle it," Namjoon said firmly, his voice resolute.
"But hyung, she's harming Y/N-noona and—"
"No, Jungkook. Listen to me. Stop cutting me off."
"Sorry, RM-hyung."
"As I was saying, Reese is Taehyung's problem. Let him handle her. As for us, what we can do is talk to Taehyung."
"Talk? After everything, you want us to just 'talk' to him? I don't even think I can still talk to that douchebag." Jimin's frustration echoed in his voice.
"Park Jimin, watch your words." Namjoon now sounded annoyed, his patience wearing thin.
TAEHYUNG'S POV
I didn't realize how far I had dragged Reese along until I finally stopped. I felt a wave of exhaustion hit me. Turning to her, I noticed she looked equally tired and annoyed. I felt a pang of guilt for dragging her into the situation with the members, but my disappointment in her actions was growing stronger.
"So are you just going to stand there and look at me?" Reese snapped, and I couldn't help but look at her with annoyance. She looked down at her hands, and suddenly, I saw tears form in her eyes.
Oh no, not here. Not now. Not like this.
"You don't love me anymore, do you? I just did that because I was so scared you'd leave me for her." Her words hit me like a punch to the gut. All the anger I had felt earlier melted away. I couldn't stay mad at her, especially now that I had her again. I couldn't risk losing her—again.
"I love you, Reese. Didn't you realize I didn't do anything earlier? It's because I understood why you're like that. But you know you really don't have to act like that. I don't have anything to do with Y/N. She's Jimin's girlfriend now. And I'm yours, Reese. Remember that."
"Does that mean you're not mad?" Reese looked at me, her eyes filled with tears, and I sighed.
"I'm not. But please, don't let that happen again, okay? The members have been really cold towards us, and it's really affecting our group now. I can't risk being like this with them for much longer, love. Let's prove that we made the right choice by being together again. Can you be nice to them—and Y/N—even if it's just for show?" I tried my best to sound convincing, while also making her feel like her feelings were valid.
"Okay, promise I'll be better."
REESE'S POV
"Okay, promise I'll be better." Taehyung smiled softly, pulling me into a hug. I hugged him back tightly, but as I did, I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow and smirk.
He couldn't see it, but I could feel the excitement building inside me. Oh, I'll treat Y/N well. I swear I'm going to make her look bad—make her do things that will get the members to turn on her. So they'll like me and hate her.
Just you wait, Y/N.
Just. You. Wait.
