"I'm pregnant. Taehyung is the father."

The words hung in the air, and for a moment, there was nothing but silence. The tension was thick, almost suffocating. Jimin stepped toward Reese, his face a mixture of confusion and disbelief. Reese, unable to hold her composure, looked down at her fingers nervously, trying to steady herself.

"I'm pregnant. Believe me, please." Her voice cracked as she spoke, desperation evident in every word.

Jimin's voice softened, almost tender, as he asked, "Did you tell Taehyung?"

Reese hesitated for a moment before replying, her voice shaky. "I... I haven't had the chance yet, but please—"

Suddenly, Yoongi's voice rang out, sharp and filled with frustration. "Park Jimin, get your ass back here and close that door. We don't need any more lies from her. She's obviously lying."

Jimin's eyes flashed with uncertainty, and he spoke carefully, "But what if she's telling the truth? What if she's not lying this time?"

The room fell into a tense silence, and I felt my heart race, my mind racing to process what Reese had just said. I wanted to say something, anything to break the tension, but no words came to mind. I was caught between disbelief and growing frustration. Of all the times Reese could've barged into this house, it had to be today, of all days.

"We need proof, Reese," Namjoon's voice was firm but not unkind. "Proof or you're not pregnant at all."

Reese, not missing a beat, reached into her bag and pulled out a small pregnancy test. She handed it to Jimin, who took it with trembling hands. The test was clear—positive.

"How can we be sure that this is yours?" Yoongi's voice was still skeptical, but his eyes narrowed as he studied the test.

Reese didn't hesitate. "I have this one as well, from the doctor." She handed over an ultrasound printout, which clearly showed that she was, indeed, pregnant.

"Eight weeks pregnant," Jimin read aloud, his voice almost a whisper as he processed the news.

"But aren't you still together with Sejin? Our staff?" Yoongi's question cut through the silence, demanding answers.

Reese's eyes flickered with panic for a moment before she forced herself to remain calm, though it was clear she was struggling to hold it together. "I—We... we've been having issues," she stammered, but her attempt to remain composed was failing.

Jimin, still by Reese's side, looked conflicted. The boys were all gathered around, their expressions a mix of disbelief and concern, staring at the ultrasound with growing uncertainty.

Namjoon broke the silence, his voice calm but insistent. "Let's do a DNA test. That's the only way to know for sure."

The boys nodded in agreement, the tension in the room rising. Before anyone could say more, Reese stood up, her face filled with urgency.

"I'll go to my doctor and get the DNA test. I'll come back with the results, but please—promise me that when I return, you won't hide Taehyung from me." Tears streamed down her face, and while I wanted to sympathize, I couldn't shake the suspicion gnawing at me.

Jimin squeezed my hand, whispering, "I don't trust her either, but let's just give her the benefit of the doubt."

I shot him a sharp look, my frustration bubbling to the surface. "Says the one who believed her the moment she said she was pregnant. I just—Ugh, Jimin, I don't get it."

But before we could continue, Reese was gone. The proposal Jimin had planned for me was forgotten in the wake of the chaos, and now the room felt heavy, as though the weight of everything had settled on our shoulders.
