Avoiding Light-kun wasn't easy but not impossible.

He would always try to talk to you whenever he saw you in the halls. When it was only the two of you alone, but you always found an excuse to say to leave. You didn't want to talk to him. You were scared to fall for his manipulation. He was Kira, L had said it himself.
The letter he wrote you to find said it as well.

And to make things worse. The world's greatest detective was being weird. For the next three weeks, you could see him watching you out of the corner of your eyes. Even when you looked up to meet his stare, he wouldn't look away. His dark eyes analyzing everything about you. Your expression, your body, your habits, and you were starting to believe that maybe he could see your thoughts too. L wouldn't even try to have conversation with you. Wouldn't even include you in the case or ask for your opinion. You were just there for him to look at. Look but never talk to.
It scared you. The feeling of being watched was something you couldn't shake off and it scared you.

You walked the empty halls of the huge, luxurious apartment complex having the immense feeling of being watched. Your eyes analyzing the walls. The corners of the ceiling.

Suddenly a small, blinking, red-faint light on a corner of the ceiling caught your attention. Was that a camera?

"Y/N," Light slammed you to the wall of the lonely hall of the Kira investigation building. "This needs to end right now."

"Light-kun," you began but he covered your mouth with his hand. Your heart beating fast due to him catching you off guard after you not talking to him for three full weeks.

"I don't know what L told you, but I am not Kira!"

You stopped struggling and your eyes scanned your surroundings. None of the Kira task force members were at sight. Nobody would tell L that you and Light were talking.
But the camera....

"But the letter you wrote me," you finally spoke. Your voice fainter than a whisper. You wanted to make sure that nobody heard. Not even the mute walls. Not the camera. This conversation was between you and Kira.

"Letter?" Light's voice matched yours. Before L released him from solitary confinement, L threatened to lock him up again if Light ever spoke to you. Light didn't want to be locked up again, but he needed to talk to you.

"Yes. The one you left at the house-"

"What house? What the hell are you talking about?" Light interrupted you.

His use of profanity scared you. He had never used bad words around you, but you could also see how confused and stressed he was.

"Remember the morning I messaged you that I ended my visit early? Well later that day in the afternoon you messaged me to meet up. I went to the address you told me to and inside that house there was a letter from you claiming that you were Kira and you would run away and -"

"Y/N. I remember messaging you that morning. But then L arrested me for suspicion of being Kira. It couldn't have been me who messaged you that afternoon or wrote the letter. I was in solitary confinement trying to prove my innocence," Light admitted. He had no idea what you were talking about.

"So if you weren't the one who messaged me to meet up that afternoon and wrote the letter, than who did?" You asked.

"L was the one who arrested me. He had all of my belongings-"

You broke free from Light and began to walk away. This had to be one of Kira's manipulation games.

"Y/N!" Light grabbed your arm stopping you from leaving. "It wasn't me. You can ask Matsuda or anyone in the Kira Task force. They were all there. I was arrested. I am not Kira that's why I am free and not in jail," Light told you.

You looked down trying to think. If L did all of that then that would explained why the police arrived at the perfect moment to arrest you. But why would L want you to be arrested?

"I think your uncle doesn't want us together," Light began and his words made perfect sense.

"So that's why he's doing all of this." You whispered.

"I want to be with you," Light finally said causing Ryuk huge amusement. Light had been having personal problems at home. Problems with his father due to L suspecting that Light was Kira. Yes, Light was Kira but that was none of anyone's business. He would kill all criminals and that's all that mattered.

But Light was tired of lying. He didn't need to work with the Kira Task force or with L to be justice.
He could be justice from home. Living a normal life going to college and becoming a college professor or police officer after his college graduation. He wanted to leave this town with you.

"Did L tell you not to talk to me anymore?" Light made eye contact with you.

You nodded. "He said the police could arrest me out of suspicion that I am your...I mean Kira's accomplice."

Light couldn't help but roll his eyes. "I know this is new to you, but how would the police know? That you and me? Think about it. If the police knows is because L told them. This is all L's doing."

You couldn't help but gasp. What the hell.

"Let's run away," Light finally said. He didn't know what, but there was something about you that made him act like a immature teenager. He just wanted to leave this life behind and go somewhere else with you. If you loved him, you would accept and respect that he was Kira. Easy as that.

You agreed. The more you found out things about L, the more disturbed you felt. Plus, you had no home here. Wammy's wasn't your home. L was nothing but a liar.

"Tomorrow then."

"Tomorrow."

L looked at the clock. You had taken about two extra minutes in your trip to the restroom. You never took this long.
To make matters worse, Light wasn't nowhere in sight.

Finally you came to view. Light a few feet behind you.

L knew this day was going to come. When you and Light talked again and Light told you that he didn't message you and wrote the letter for you to read.
L didn't like the view of you with another man.
