My limbs ached as I stretched between two super soldiers.
I was laying on top of Bucky. Steve was cuddled to his side. They were both still asleep despite it being mid morning. Alpine was cuddled around Steve's blonde hair. Her whiskers tickled his face, and he twitched every now and then when they brushed over his eyes.
Their faces looked so peaceful in their deep slumbers. I almost let them continue sleeping before pain shot up my spine. Stupid super soldiers.
"JARVIS," I said. "Can you wake up Steve and Bucky?"
"Of course, ma'am."
An alarm clock blared through the speakers, and both boys jostled awake. They stared at me with wide eyes, and I frowned.
Bucky brushed my hair with his fingers, "What's wrong with you?" Sleep was thick in his voice, and his eyes blinked away their bleariness.
"I don't know, what do you think is wrong with me, super soldier?" I spat back at him.
Steve and Bucky exchanged looks and laughed. They helped me out of the bed and walked me to the bathroom.
Bucky sunk down and turned the water on in the bathtub while Steve moved to the closet to find clothes for me to wear.
The irritation in me melted into fondness as I looked between them. My boys. They were so cute together. Diligent and caring, sweet, charming, handsome, everything I could ever want.
They returned to my position on the countertop. Their hands were resting on either side of me. I watched their eyes exchange a silent conversation.
Bucky cleared his throat, "Do you remember what you said just before you fell asleep?" Barely. I was drunk and exhausted, but my words were echoing in my head.
Are we all dating now? It was a half-joke. But I did mean it.
I looked up at him and nodded.
He smiled and stroked my cheek with his thumb. "Steve and I have history," he said carefully. His tongue poked the inside of his cheek as he thought of what to say. "I'm sure you guessed that. Were you serious about your question?" The tone in his voice was more earnest than I had anticipated.
I touched their thoughts. They were afraid I'd reject them. Steve had really begun to care for me in ways other than just me being Bucky's girl. And they had feelings for each other that had been left unresolved since the 1940s. They wanted each other. They wanted me. And they wanted me to want them.
My head nodded, overwhelmed with this situation. Steve gently brushed his fingers down my arm. "I know you two are meant to be together. I've known it since the day I introduced you. So I don't have to be here, if you don't want me to be." I knew he meant it. He would leave if I wanted him to.
But I didn't want him to.
I stared up at his baby blue eyes. The twinge of sea green just around his pupils was especially vibrant in the bright bathroom lights. I turned to Bucky. His eyes were mirrors. Grey and reflective of the world around him. I saw myself in them.
My hands found theirs, and I squeezed them tight. "So, I have a fiancé and a boyfriend?" I asked with a smile on my lips.
They grinned and nodded simultaneously. Their lips kissed the sides of my face, squishing my cheeks and making me laugh.
Shooting pain tingled up my spine, and I gasped from the discomfort. They pulled away with shocked faces. My hands flew to their chests to steady myself. "Fuck both of you," I breathed.
