"Don't let your guard down-" Todoroki pauses.

"Damn, man's out cold," I chuckle, the villain now a heap on the floor.
"We should restrain him," Midoriya suggests and we nod. Iida finds some rope in a nearby trashcan and I use my quirk to strengthen the rope and bond the ends together.
One handy use of my quirk? I'VE NEVER HAD TO TIE ANYTHING.
Shoelaces? FUSE EM TOGETHER, MAKE IT REAL SNUG. Rope? YA GOT IT.
Only thing I won't fuse is my hairtie, thats just a waste of good rubberbands.
"Thank you for saving me and I apologise for being unable to help..." Native sighs as I carry him out on my back, trailing behind the rest. Shoto was also dragging the hero killer behind him. "That's no problem, the quirk was a nasty one to be sure-" I winced, my arm emitting a searing pain.
I almost drop the guy but manage to regain my grip.
Thank gosh I was behind everyone so no one could quite see the blood beginning to seep out of my arm.
"Are you-"
"Still-!" I cut him off before he can draw anymore attention. "Can't believe it took all three of us," I chuckle and Midoriya nods. "I don't think any of us could have taken him one-on-one..." He mutters, arms dangling by his side, broken yet again.
"I'm pretty sure the only reason we managed it," Todoroki groaned as he readjusted his grip on the rope. "Is because he was so hung up on killing Iida that he made mistakes..."
A silence hung in the air.
Even with the four of us, if he hadn't stumbled in his actions, we would have lost.
Which meant...
'We would have-'
"Gran Torino!" Midoriya shouts happily as a old man of Mineta level stature comes rocketing towards us.
But he doesn't stop, barrelling straight at me.
I flinch and turn away, trying to shield the half paralysed man in my arms but I feel Native's weight lift from my hands.
"Stupid boy!" He scolds, apparently towards Midoriya as he helped Native to stand.
"Can you not even see how your friend is hurting?!" He points a cane in my direction and I flinch, instinctively hiding my arms behind me. "I-I'm okay! I swear, its just a little blo-"
I gasp in pain and turn sharply, bumping into the wall behind me, cradling my arms to my chest. I saw Endeavour standing behind where I was a second ago and it didn't take much to realise that he had given my injury a harsh poke.
My forearms throbbed, blood sloughing out of the wound and splattering onto the floor.
"That's a lot of blood-!" Midoriya steps towards me but is unable to bring his arms up to help. Todoroki quickly steps around him and strides over to me, immediately going to grab my arms.
I expected it to hurt but his touch was so gentle. It was like feathers carressing my arms as he inspected the wound.
"I'll call an ambulance," Native jogs off to the rest of the proheroes.
I thought Todoroki would have let go by now but his grip remained. I leaned down to meet his eyes. They held a pained look in them, his mouth pressed into a line as though he was biting on his inner lip. "I should have protected you..." He muttered, so softly I wouldn't have heard it if not for our close proximity.
"...it's not your fault," I whisper, gently bonking my forehead against the top of his head. He looks up at me, a subtle pout on his face but I grin in return. "Besides I can just fuse the wo-" I move to grab my wound but he stops me.
"Your skin is burning, stop it," he scolds gently, producing a small handful of ice which he uses to ice the areas around the wound, reducing bloodflow to the area.
"I'M TERRIBLY SORRY FOR ALL OF THIS!" Iida yelled, bowing his head as tears fell from his eyes. "I DRAGGED YOU ALL INTO THIS AN-"
"NO! I apologise! I should have come to help sooner and-" he mutters on and the two keep exchanging apologies.
"Pull yourselves together..." Todoroki scowls and I burst out laughing.
But just as everything was finally calming down...
-
-
Talons wrapped themselves around Midoriya's shoulders and dug into his flesh. Then he was in the air.
"That nomu-!" I gape and pull away from Todoroki in the proccess.
All of us stood helpless as the nomu flew higher and higher.
Then, a drop of blood from its injured eye fell, landing on Stain's cheek.
-
-
It was lightning.
The man had broken free of his restraints and cleaved the bird morphed nomu down in a single slice.
He lands with Midoriya held before him like some kind of human puppet.
"I ACT TO CLEANSE SOCIETY OF YOU FAKE HEROES!" He booms, a heavy aura flooding the area. Endeavour, who was standing in front of me, went to attack but Gran Torino held him back with his walking stick. "That boy is in the way," he warned, referring to the very injured Midoriya the villain was holding down.
Then the man stands up, his mask slipping from his face.
-
-
-
His features are so contorted with fury it could hardly be identified as a human face.
But his beady eyes seems to stare straight into my soul.
"I WILL RECLAIM WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A HERO-!" A crippling fear seizes me.
My eyes go tunnel visioned, a red pulsating fog filling my eyes.
"JUST TRY AND STOP MY CRUSADE! THE ONLY HERO I WILL EVER ACKNOWLEDGE IS ALL MIGHT!"
My stomach gets dragged to the floor and so do I, petrifying me alongside everyone else. Even Endeavour is rooted to the spot.
'this kind of bloodlust-!'
-
-
"AND DON'T YOU DARE THINK, I DON'T KNOW WHO YOU ARE..."
My heart skips.
-
-
-
'who is he-?'
I don't think anyone truly realised.
-
They probably thought he was staring at Endeavour.
-
But no he was staring behind the man.
-
-
At me.
-
-
Then...
He falls to the floor, a wheezing escaping him.
