Chapter 148: how puzzling... (pun intended) (World Heroes' Mission AU)

I hitched a ride on Shoto's ice to climb up the side of the valley.

Just as we reach the top, we spot a boy with mousy brown hair hanging off the side of the plateau, case in one hand as he held on with another. 

Above him, a guy who looked like a WWE fighter, mask and all, held a large boulder over his head, about to crush the poor boy.

"RODY!" Midoriya called.

'A friend?'

We ran over as Shoto used his ice to catch the boy and stop the villain just in the nick of time.

"Todoroki!" Midoriya yelled in relief.

"Just like in Hosu, your messages are too hard to understand, Midoriya," Shoto lamented and I laughed, sliding down the incline to meet up with Midoriya.

"Don't worry though, I was there to help him figure it out!" I grin, helping the boy, Rody was it? to his feet.

"Ryo!" Deku sounded ecstatic to see his friends again.

Then, a loud whirring sounds from above and we narrowly dodge out of the way as a helicopter flies over head shooting green arrows.

'Is that what put those holes in the car?'

"WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU LOOKING?!" Katsuki yelled as he flew up towards the chopper, blasting them with an AP shot.

"How nice of you to join us, Blasty!" I grin, touching the rock below to send fragments flying up towards the helicopter.

"SHUT IT!" he yells, chasing after the helicopter to keep it off our tails.

Shoto goes to deal with the WWE villain.

"HELP ME!" the coward encased in ice begs, "I'll do anything!"

"Then tell me what I want to know!" Shoto demands and the villain agrees instantly.

'Wowww, interrogator Shoto, what a mental image...'

But just as we think we've gotten a break, a flurry of green arrows explode around the WWE villain as Shoto and I duck out of the way just in time.

"YOU TRAITOR!" A woman yells from inside the helicopter.

"So that's our Robin Hood," I mutter.

"Katsuki, get her!" Shoto yells as the explosion boy flies past us.

"Don't order me ar-!" "Get me up there!" I yell after the boy.

He grits his teeth before grabbing a hold of my collar.

'Oh shit...'

"Uh, gently ok-AYYYYY?!1!?" I screech as I'm hurtled at the helicopter.

Narrowly missing being decapitated by the chopper's blades, I latch onto the side of the vehicle.

"Got your tail!" I quip as I use my quirk to melt off the end of the helicopter, sending it spiraling out of control.

"Oh shit-!" I wince as I slip off the side and start plummeting.

'I did not think this through!'

"DUMBASS!" Is all I hear before I land onto something cushy.

I open my eyes to see Katsuki atop a narrow cliff of ice.

'If I was gonna have a safety net anyways he didn't have to catch me himself...'

"The hell were you thinking?!" he yells.
