"Walk faster!" Katsuki hissed back at the boy.

Shoto gave him a deadpan look.

"We're both injured! Why the hell am I faster than you?!" he bristled, and still Shoto said nothing.

I mean, he couldn't, after all his throat was still recovering.

Katsuki knew about this.

Shoto shrugged and the blonde sighed in frustration, slowing down to match the Icyhot boy's pace.

Shoto turned to the boy and gave him a quizzical look.

As if knowing what he had been asked, Katsuki responded.

"When I went to see that Bumpkin yesterday, Hawks was there," he huffed, crossing his arms.

Shoto's raised his brows in surprise.

"He said they'd figured out why he hasn't woken up-" he stops, his arm had been grabbed.

He turned to face Shoto, who had a pained expression on his face.

"Are you hurting?" Katsuki asked and Shoto quickly shook his head.

Then he paused, and nodded.

"Which one is it, yes or no...?!" Katsuki seethed, pinching at his nosebridge.

Then he sighed.

"No, I think I know what you're worried about," he muttered, looking to the floor.

Ryo had been a villain this whole time, if only it was that easy. At least then both boys could hate him without holding back.

Well, it was more complicated than that.

"He told us he'd lost his memories, he couldn't have known what he was before," Katsuki muttered, leaning against the wall of the hallway.

"But then the damn Commission, sending him in there as a spy... what the hell were they thinking?! He's a student-!" he stopped as Shoto gave him a look.

It's true, they were students too, and they had wanted to help.

"He probably thought he could solve it all himself, huh...?" Katsuki laughed humorlessly and Shoto nodded.

Perhaps this had been why Ryo seemed so hellbent on pushing away the boys' affection. He had said that he had something to do beforehand, and that he would understand if they chose to leave him behind and go off on their own instead.

Katsuki looked up at the Michelin man cosplayer before him.

'As if I could put up with this bastard alone.'

Had Ryo never been in the picture, it was unlikely either of them would have been attracted to the other.

In fact, if any one of them were missing, it wouldn't feel... right.

He looked up at Shoto, who seemed wrapped up in thoughts of his own.

"He'll come back to us," Katsuki whispered.

Shoto locked eyes with him, then he rushed forward, grabbing at his arms.

"Oi, hands off!" the blonde hissed to little use.

Shoto's eyes bore into his, asking him to explain.

The blonde sighed, pushing the boy off him.

"Alright, alright! Just lay off!" he huffed, running a hand through his hair and slouching back against the wall.
