"The dark side of UA..." Eri muttered before hurriedly ducking behind me and Mirio.

I burst out in giggles at the look on Monoma's face.

"WHAT IS THIS FOOLISH CHILD SAYING?! HAHAHA" He laughed his usual crazy laugh, trying his best to play off his irritation.

Mirio stuck up a finger 'eRM AcTUaLLy' style and spoke. "Oh, I told her that UA has its bad parts and that you represented one of its downsides."

I snorted, leaning an elbow on Monoma's shoulder.

"Darkside of UA, you got your wish Mr. Villainous Hero!"

He swept me off him and dramatically covered his face in one big flourish.

"I'm sorry but I'm a man who follows the path of peace and justice! How dare you malign me, sir!" he continued his forced laughter.

"Uh," Midoriya looked uncomfortable as he looked over at Mirio and I, "Do you guys know why he's here?"

"Ah all of you are here," right on time, Aizawa enters the fray. "Midoriya, Mirio, Yamada, thanks for coming."

"I wanted to ask Monoma's help for Eri, but considering their personalities, I was worried they wouldn't mesh."

An amusing image of Monoma and Eri interacting flashed in my head.

'Ah, so that's why we're here.'

I snicker looking over at Monoma, who appeared to be very upset that so many people clocked him as someone who was hard to deal with.

"Well I'm happy to hear you've been thinking about me, teach...!" he laughs again.

'At this point his voice is gonna go from laughing so much...'

Soon enough, Aizawa ushered us indoors and Monoma got straight to work.

After touching Eri's hand for a few seconds, a small horn identical to Eri's sprouted from his forehead.

'Did it work?'

"How was it?" Aizawa asked.

Monoma turned around, his smile hiding an underlying frustration.

"This one is a blank. Unfortunately, it seems I won't be able to help you out. Sorry sir." he said, holding a hand up to the horn on his head.

Aizawa pushed his hair back with a hand, "well, its disappointing but its not your fault."

"You wanted him to copy Eri's quirk?" Mirio asked as if finally realizing why Monoma was here. "Why?"

"And what do you mean by 'blank' Monoma?" Deku piped up.

"It means her quirk is a stockpile quirk is like yours, Midoriya," the blonde explained, "My quirk copies the base nature of the quirk, but it can't replicate the stored power to make it work."

"I see..." Midoriya mumbled. "So if you were to copy Fatgum's quirk, you wouldn't be able to use it because you'd still be skinny."

'OMG skinny legend.'

Monoma nods at the example.

"Oh," I hum, "but since the core of my quirk is energy, which all living things have, you can still copy it even though its also a stockpile quirk."

Monoma nods, then shivers.

"Not that I'd make that mistake again, I though I was going to die using your quirk. I'll keep my energy to myself, thank you very much."

I rolled my eyes.

"I draw these blanks once in a while, like when I tried to copy your quirk but couldn't release any of its power," Monoma sighed, looking up at Midoriya.

"So why try this on Eri?" Mirio got right back on topic.

"She's not able to activate her quirk right now, and seeing as Yamada can no longer purge her energy build up, she may one day release it in full," the man explained, walking over to pat Eri on the head. "If she doesn't know how to use it, she might endanger herself or others."

"That's why I thought Monoma could copy her quirk, train with it, and teach her how to use it," he sighed, "but I suppose that was a long shot."

Eri's hand reached up to touch her horn.

"I'm sorry..."

"It's because of me you guys are having so much trouble..." her big eyes drooped with sadness, "it's always like this, I cause everyone problems."

-

"I just wish I didn't have this power..."

-

I walk before the girl and squat down in front of her.

"Look," I smile, pulling off my hair tie and holding it in one hand.

Slowly, I use my quirk to separate the clothe fibers into strands, delicately weaving it into the shape of a butterfly.

I set it gently into her cupped hands.

"A quirk is all about how you choose to use it," I tap at the wings of the butterfly sculpture as she holds it up, looking at the intricate thing with wide eyes.

"You can make beautiful things like this, or..." I tap the butterfly once, and the whole thing crumbles into a mass of broken strands. "You can destroy beautiful things too."

She gasps and it makes me feel a bit bad, so I resolve to make it up to her.

I reach up to tuck her hair behind her ear, she flinches, still wary of peoples' touch, but lets me.

"After you learn to control it, I'm sure your quirk will be able to do many beautiful things," I grin, pulling my hand away to reveal a small braid going down one side of her face.

She looks awed, watching me closely as I gather the ashes of the butterfly from her hands and turn it back into a hair tie, gently securing the braid.

She looked between me and the braid she was now holding in her hand.

"R-really?" she gazed up at me with big red eyes.

"Can I do that...?"

"Don't forget," Midoriya piped in, crouching down beside me, "you saved my life with your rewind quirk."

He smiled, resting a hand on his chest.

"That's why, when you use your quirk for good, it's wonderful!"

The small girl finally cracked a smile at his words.

"Okay...!" she finally declared, curling her small hands into fists and looking up at all of us.

"I'll get better at my quirk!"
