"One for All...?"

When Katsuki had heard Endeavor's voice over the comms, he had already prepared himself.

When they received the news that Shigaraki was headed for the evacuation site, he had expected Midoriya to race off on his own.

And he had decided that he would be right behind him.

"If you tell people your secret here, the heroes will split up their forces and try to protect you," he guessed at the green-haired boy's thought process.

"Kacchan!"

"Just hearing that he's coming here for One for All isn't much to go off on though," he scoffed. "But since heroes have to protect people, you only had once choice, right?"

He looked over at his childhood friend.

His brows were furrowed in determination.

"I need to prioritize the safety of the civilians!"

Midoriya had changed so much from the wimpy boy he'd once known.

But then again, it seemed this sense of heroism had always been in his blood.

"Anyway, your only choice is to move," Katsuki surmises as they speed through the ruins of the city.

"Hey, where are you going?!" Shoto called after them.

And Midoriya's excuse was laughable.

"We forgot something!"

As if he'd buy that.

"KACCHAN WHY ARE YOU FOLLOWING ME?!" Deku gasped as though the realization had hit him minutes after the fact.

"I'LL KILL YOU!" "YIKES!"

Katsuki clicked his tongue.

"Under the circumstances, I was the only one who could understand what's going on without explanation and go with you!" he explained.

"OH! THANKS!" Midoriya looked... elated? terrified?

"Don't think so highly of yourself!" Katsuki spat, face contorted into his signature scowl.

"Follow you? You think you're the main character or something?" he muttered under his breath.

"I've got business with that scumbag..."

If anyone knew where Ryo was, it would be Shigaraki.

Looking through the lens of Ryo having been in contact with the villain league, a lot of pieces began to fall into place.

Like how when the both of them were kidnapped, Ryo had seen Shigaraki's face and lived to tell the tale. Not to mention how conveniently Ryo had been able to escape the villains.

How certain nights he would be out for hours on end, only to return in the early hours of the morning.

Katsuki's room had been right beside his, so how could he not have noticed?

In spite of all this, a part of him was still holding back, reluctant to admit that he'd been played by a villain of all people.

He didn't want to admit that everything they'd been through, together, had been a lie.

Suddenly, their earpieces turned to static.

No communications were getting through anymore.

"Oi, Deku, just now that was..." Katsuki muttered and Midoriya nodded.
