At the Gunga Mountain Villa a half hour ago, the other half of the war was just starting.

Heroes stormed the Paranormal Liberation Front's base and began taking down the villains in their path.

They'd sealed off all exits and were closing in slowly.

It was then that the rat could finally make his move.

"Hey... what's going on?" Twice pleaded.

"Huh...?"

He gritted his teeth.

"What are you doing, Hawks...?"

Hawks stepped out from the shadows, revealing himself to the villain he'd held in place with his feathers.

"I told them the time and day of the attack in code," Hawks admitted as his feathers darted through the air, destroying the bugs that had been set by Skeptic.

"Man, it was really tough."

"Hey..." "The operation this time was to intimidate with numbers, so I didn't want to give you time to use your Doubling quirk," Hawks muttered as he stepped towards the man.

"I said 'hey'...!" Twice sounded like he was on the verge of tears.

"I needed to keep an eye on you at all times, "lets review the Liberation Army before the meeting"," Hawks echoes his own words to the villain.

"It was only natural, right?"

Everything had been a lie.

"Hawks...!" Twice was cut off once more as the hero held one of his guard feathers to his throat.

"Please don't put up a fight. I'll restrain you like this and hand you over to the police."

Twice's breathing got heavier, his eyes blown wide.

"Wait... just wait a second..." his mind fragmented as it struggled to take in the situation.

Tears welled in his eyes as he recalled.

This felt all too familiar.

Magne's death, Mr. Compress losing his arm, they all flashed before his eyes.

"Always..." he gritted out.

How all that had been caused by Overhaul.

"It always... turns out like this...!"

How he'd been the one who led Overhaul right to them.

"I was the one... who carelessly brought that guy...!" he spluttered.

"Because of me... because of me...!" he grabbed at his head, tears streaming down his face.

He should have seen the signs, should have known this betrayal was coming.

But how could he?

How could the man now standing before him with such a menacing look on his face be the same one who helped him so kindly? Who had talked about flying freely with such child-like wonder.

Giran had said all he needed was the trust of friends.

So he'd thought...

"I thought... I just had to trust you...!"

He'd seen himself in the hero.

"I thought that if I didn't... it'd be too sad...!"

He wept into his hands.
