Chapter 144: HE'S BAAAAACCKK (World Heroes' Mission AU)

Hi!

With the previous chapter, we've just wrapped up Season 5 of the anime and between season 5 and 6 is the third MHA movie, World Heroes' Mission.

IF YOU DON'T WANT MOVIE SPOILERS, skip to CHAPTER 155 where the main story will resume.

HOWEVER, clearly Ryo is not back yet (and will not be for a while teehee) SO these next few chapters will be an AU where Ryo has joined the boys from the Endeavor agency. Because, obviously, without Ryo the story would be just me typing out movie spoilers.

Try not to analyze it too much, its an AU for funsies and so I can cover the movie. The trio will still be in their "will they? won't they?" phase as its more fun to write about.

"The group claiming responsibility for the terrorist attack the other day is Humarise." The narrator spoke over the plane's intercom.

The screens next to us changed, showing a man with blue skin dressed in Pope-like attire.

"It's an ideological group founded by Flect Turn, who advocates for human salvation."

I snort, the sound hidden under the whirring of the plane engine.

"Clearly not if he's a terrorist," I mutter and Shoto nods from beside me.

"The device used in the attack has been conjectured to strengthen the quirk factor triggering substance, Ideotrigger. The device will hereafter be known as the Trigger Bomb." The narrator continued.

'So basically this device makes people's quirks go haywire... THEN SAY THAT!'

This explained why the people in the city where the bomb had been set off suddenly had their quirks malfunction. Being set off in a major city with no warning, many lives were lost and half the  city had been razed to the ground.

But quirkless people were spared.

Clearly the attack had been targetted.

In response, the World Heroes' Association had set up an extensive task force, made up of some of the best heroes in the world.

They were split into teams and sent off all around the globe to the various Humarise headquarters.

As interns under Endeavor's agency, we followed him and his sidekicks to the city of Otheon, believed to be the main headquarters of Humarise.

As such we had been tasked with a covert black ops operation to seize the trigger bomb as well as Humarise's leader, Flect Turn.

Which is also why we'd been given these sick new covert hero costumes, all emblazoned with the World Heroes' Association (WHA) crest on the sleeves.

They were mostly black for stealth purposes, aside from pieces of body armor and hints of a secondary color meant to identify us from afar.

Deku was green, Katsuki orange, Shoto blue and mine a deep purple.

We were like half of the power rangers, or maybe a magical girl group.

My costume probably showed the most skin of them all, not just because my body was to die for, but also to prevent me from overheating with my quirk.
