'bored...'

I sigh for like the fifth time today.

And its only 9 in the morning!

New record!

Well, basically, school was closed for the next couple of days. It was supposed to give us time to recover and relax from the USJ incident.

However, all it did for me was...

"BOREEEEDDDDD...!!!" I yell out in frustration, wrapping my arms around a pillow in a black pillowcase that didn't smell like the chemical detergent the government facility I normally resided in used for all their stark white sheets.

Why?

Well it seemed that after the USJ incident, the government wanted tighter security on everything UA related.

That broad term included me.

So instead of having a government lackey named Fluffy follow me from my toilet to my lunch in UA's cafeteria, Hawks came swooping, pun intended, in to my rescue. He offered to keep a close eye on me himself, offering to keep a few feathers around me at all times.

Not like he hadn't already done this, the necklace around my neck could also be called a dog collar if I was blunt about it. Still, I didn't really mind it, it kept my mind at ease to know he was always there with me.

Besides as far as I knew I had nothing to hide.

At least I had thought that up until just recently when that villain, who I later learned was called Shigaraki, apparently knew me from before I lost my memories.

But anyways, long story short, I would temporarily reside with Hawks until further notice.

Well I say that but it wasn't as though he was home for long enough to leave even a hind of his presence. So this place would basically be my castle till school started up again.

"Im BOREEEEED..."

"I get it, I get it my turtledove but you need rest after yesterday, I don't want you over working yourself then passing out again," oh, I forgot to mention, since Hawks was always out, whenever he had any free time he'd give me call...

Through the home intercom system...

Do you guys know how fking TERRIFYING it is to hear someone whisper your name while your on the toilet playing CANDY CRUSH?!?! ahem... Anyways...

As you've heard, or rather read, Hawks had effectively prohibited me from any sort of training for the next few days. I would assume this was because of that one time I pushed myself a little too hard in training and ended up sleeping for like a week straight.

Still it's been months! I knew how to take better care of myself now!

I think...

"But the UA Sports Festival is coming up! I needa train if I wanna do well and get my name out there..." Kind of true, I did want to do well in the festival but I didn't quite care about getting my name out there. My life had already been all planned out.

I was destined to remain by Hawk's side for the rest of my professional life.

That was the agreement he had to make when he took me under his wing.

Again, pun intended.

"Hmm, it'd be nice to see my little prodigy kick some butt but if you push too hard you won't even be concious that day." And thus the big man had spoken.

I sighed once more and flipped around. The bedroom I'd been given was pretty huge for a guy who never had guests.

At least unlike in that government facility I'd finally be able to decorate the place as much as I wanted.

So decorate I did.

Well, as much as I could with like one poster and two of Hawk's feathers I found hidden around my room.

He probably had a ton but I'd long since given up on trying to get that persistant pervert to stop "accidentally shedding" his feathers all over the place.

"Your feathers are gonna go to good use," I call out as I pull the feathers out from their hiding places. I place one against the wall that my desk was pushed up against, lining up the base of the feather with the mid point of my desk.

'Feathers largely consist of keratin, a type of protein...'

I used one hand to hold the stem of the feather onto the wall as I slowly slid my other hand along the feather, slowly stretching and flattening the protein. Eventually it looked as though I'd embossed a large, red sticker decal into the wall.

'Considering how the feathers aren't exactly alive I can't quite say I've gotten better at the manipulation of living things but...'

I step back, admiring my handywork.

'I'm definitely improving...'

I grin and repeat the proccess, mirroring it with the second feather on the other side kf my desk.

At the end it was like a pair of red wings etched into my wall.

"Well I'd scold you for using your quirk when I told you not to but since this looks like some kind of monument to me I'll forgive you," I spin around to find the Winged hero himself plopped onto my bed, fiddling with the necklace he gave me that I'd laid on the bedside table.

"You take pretty good care of this, huh?" He sends me a grin and I roll my eyes before lunging at him.

No surprise when he zips off the bed before I can land on it and I just surrender myself to my fate of laying flat on the plush mattress. "I mean yeah, if I damaged it who knows how the severity of my tone when I'm crap talking you will be affected," I flip onto my back to look the hero in his eyes.

"Don't want you to think I don't mean it when I call you a bird brain~" I shoot him the very same smile I learnt from him, crossing my legs and resting my cheek in my palm.

I knew I looked fking adorable.

"Yknow I think I preferred you when we didn't spend so much time together," he pouted. "You didn't have the time to be mean to me then."

He plops down beside me and I pull out a feather to annoy him with.

"Thats what you get for calling me while I was shitting," I huff, jabbing the feather into his side.

"Hey if I was going to make you crap your pants be grateful I waited till you were already on the toilet," he grinned at me.

Clearly he didn't understand...

I had one of his precious guard feathers hostage.

I gave him a deadpan stare before snapping the feather in half.

"WHY?! I JUST PREENED MYSELF!"
