leaving UA (part 1)

I hadn't gone back to school after the USJ incident, and it had been a few days since I last saw my friends. I was absent from school because I wanted to know what I really wanted with my life, and after an entire week had passed, I went back to school again. Nobody asked me why I was gone for so long; maybe because they were scared to ask or knew I wouldn't bother answering. Though when the bell rang at the end of the day, I walked up toward Aizawa, looking at him in the eye.

"Sensei," I announced, "I'm sorry, but I'm done trying to be a hero at this school."

Everyone in the classroom gasped, mumbling to themselves as some of them approached me.

"(y/n)! You can't be serious about this!" Iida declared.

"This is all so sudden!" Uraraka cried, "Have you thought about this, (y/n)?!"

"Why are you quitting?!" Ashido weeped.

"Is it because of the USJ incident?" Tokoyami questioned, "Did those villains hurt you?"

"Don't leave us, (y/n)!" Aoyama whimpered.

"Could you tell us why you've decided this?" Todoroki inquired.

I placed my hands behind my head, relaxed.

"I think I'm done attending this school," I sighed, "It's just boring, really. I thought it would be more of a challenge, and I guess I expected more from this school."

After hearing that, from out of the crowd, the same fiery guy that I stole his pens from pushed everyone aside to confront me, staring at me with wrathful eyes.

"What did you just say?!" explosion boy screamed, "This school is the best you'll ever find! Do you know how hard it is to get into UA?! I can't believe they let someone like you get into this academy!"

"Wait-" I paused, thinking, "What was your name again?"

That seemed to piss him off even more, and he was ready to attack me.

"Why you little-! I'm gonna make you remember, you bastard!"

Sensei sighed, tired, and he erased that guy's quirk before he was able to explode my face.

"Bakugou, stop it," Aizawa declared, "In the end, this is (y/n)'s decision. If they don't want to be here anymore, then they have the liberty to leave. But I hope they know they can't come back."

Goosebumps crawled up my back when I saw Aizawa's dried eyes; he was dead serious.

"Weeeell," I stated, "There is this one thing you can do to make me stay..."
