After being treated, I wasn't really in the mood for staying in a hospital bed all night. I put on my regular clothes and escaped from the window up into the roof of the building, sitting down as I stared at the beautiful starry night with awe. As the cold and refreshing breeze brushed itself against my warm skin, I took out a packet of cigarettes and my lighter. I secretly snuck in camp. I picked a cig out of the box and lit it, placing it gently on my lips as I inhaled the relaxing and pleasing smoke and exhaled the beautiful fumes into the air.
I pulled my legs to my chest, relaxing my arm on my knees as I held the lit cigarette between my fingers. I closed my eyes, raising my head to feel the subtle gust of wind hit my neck as I tried my hardest to hold my tears from coming out.
Alas, my time with the Moon was disturbed just when I wanted to be left alone. I saw someone climb up the roof, but didn't move from my spot. I simply lit the end of the cigarette again and breathed the intense smoke, feeling it's gratifying warmth from the inside.
When I saw who it was, I wasn't really surprised to see them. It was Bakugou, standing in front of me as he tried to balance himself from falling.
"What are you doing here?" I asked, exhaling the fumes of my cig into the air.
When Bakugou saw me, his eyes widened with disbelief.
"You..."
I just sat there, stretching out one of my legs as I bent the other, resting my arm on that knee as I held the burnt cig.
"So this is what you've been doing," Bakugou mumbled under his breath, "This is the reason why you've been so sick!"
Bakugou lowered his gaze, smirking as he grinded his teeth together.
"You've been smoking... I should've known from the start."
He gripped his first tightly, frustrated.
"But maybe I just didn't want to believe; just like the rest of us..."
I just looked at him, indifferent, taking out my lighter again and flicked its cap as the little flame lit up my face.
"And yet you can still light that thing in my face without any remorse," Bakugou declared, "Tch. You really are pathetic..."
I stopped before I could lit up the end of my cigarette again, glaring at Bakugou with a distasteful look.
"So what?" I told him, "I can do whatever I want; always have."
I slowly stood up, bringing closer the flame to my cigar as I covered it with my hand, making sure the air didn't blow on it.
"Smoking doesn't make me a bad person," I explained, "It doesn't make me a villain."
I slowly walked up toward Bakugou as he watched my every step, and made sure he saw me inhaling the smoke again, stopping when I stood before him. I then looked at him right in the eye, apathetic, and blew the smoke out as it escaped from my parted lips. I knew that would make him irritated. But when I did so, Bakugou grunted and took the cigarette from my hand and exploded it with his quirk, disintegrating it.
"But it sure as hell makes you a coward!"
My eyes widened, shocked. I didn't expect him to do that, and that really pissed me off since I wasn't finished with that smoke.
"Hey!" I yelled, "Who the hell do you think you are?! Thinking you can do that to me!!"
"You might DIE, you idiot!" Bakugou shouted back, "Don't you get that?!"
I scoffed, closing my eyes as I lowered my head.
"I don't really care about that anymore. I don't care what happens to me next. Whether I die or not; it's just a matter of time for me..."
