On the fourth day, I was more aggressive than ever. I kept on lashing out on people, including my friends, whenever I felt irritated. The sickness was getting to my head, and I didn't mean (most) of what I said to them, and afterwards, I'd just say I was sick. My bad temper got so bad they even avoided me; but I didn't blame them. I'd avoid myself, too, if I was acting like a total jerk. Now I know how Bakugou felt when people talked to him all the time.
I ate in the classroom alone again, eating some pasta with seafood my mom made for me. And by my luck, Bakugou had brought his own lunch, as well, and when he noticed me in the corner all alone, he walked over to me from behind with a confused expression.
"Why are you here all alone?" Bakugou questioned, "I honestly thought you'd join that freak Kirishima and the others-"
Bakugou brushed me with his clothes, and I just snapped. I suddenly grabbed his arm out of nowhere as I gripped it tightly, glaring at him.
"If you try to touch me again, I'll break your arm."
"Woah," he backed down, "Take it easy, dumbass. It was just a small shove."
When I realized what I was doing, I let him go. It seemed as if Bakugou and I had both changed personalities. I slouched, unable to eat after my sudden fit. Bakugou then turned around and walked toward his desk on the other side of the classroom.
"If you're gonna be like that, then I'll leave you alone-"
"N-No!"
I stood up from my seat, extending my hand and reaching out for Bakugou. When he looked at me over his shoulder, I realized that I had yelled. I looked down, embarrassed, and sat down on my seat again.
"I-I mean," I stuttered, "Y-You don't have to leave. You can sit next to me..."
Bakugou was skeptical at first, but gave in.
"If you insist..." he sighed, pretending to be uninterested.
He sat down on the desk in front of mine, and the two of us didn't say anything at first. I just kept on playing with my food, stabbing the pasta with my fork.
"I'm such a mess," I groaned, "I'm not trying to be mean to them, but these headaches get the best of me..."
I rested my chin on the palm of my hand, pouting.
"Tch. Don't worry about that," Bakugou reassured, "Knowing them, they'll forgive you even if you get these crazy fits."
I raised my eyes to look at Bakugou as he turned to me.
"And you're strong enough to overcome those headaches," he added, "It's not like it's gonna be like that forever. Just deal with the pain and get over it."
It's easy for you to say, I thought. But I just kept that to myself, grinning at Bakugou for trying to console me.
"I want chocolate," I said out of nowhere.
"You're weird," Bakugou boldly said.
"I'm being serious!" I yelled, angry, "Why are you always so negative?! Why can't you just be nice for once?!"
Bakugou rolled his eyes, tired of my aggressive behavior.
"Chocolate won't help you feel any better, you idiot," he told me, "Just sit and eat your food."
"What?! Don't tell me what to do!! If I wanna eat, then I'll eat! I just want some chocolate and don't have some on me!"
"Seriously," Bakugou sighed, "You're so annoying..."
