~ Bakugou's POV ~

During PE, we all went down to the training grounds. The teacher told us to pair up for the race, and as I looked around to make someone my partner, everyone seemed to have one already. Though I saw that idiot at the other end of the group, idling. I walked over there and stood in front of them, crossing my arms as I watched them do their thing.

"Hey!" I called out, "You're gonna be my partner for this stupid race. So don't start complaining, alright?"

That idiot raised their look, indifferent.

"So what's the deal with your attitude, anyways?" I questioned, "Why are you so angry all the time?"

"What?! What do you mean?!" I questioned, "I'm not angry all the time!"

They sighed and rolled their eyes, trying to ignore me, but I kept insisting. The two of us started the race shortly after. We had to get to the other side of the forest before time ran up, and during our run, I kept on talking to them.

"Hey, Bakogu," they mispronounced, "Is your hair naturally that spiky? Or do you spend time styling it?"

"First of all, it's Bakugou!" I corrected, "Second of all, why do you care?"

"Damn, sorry. I was just trying to make a conversation..."

We kept running, but the silence was awkward silence was drowning me.

"I got it from my parents," I sighed, "But it's not like it'll interest y-"

"Oh. And are they like," she kept quizzing me, "really explosive too?"

"Yeah, I guess you could say that. My quirk came from theirs," I explained, "Wait- Did you mean-? Hey, you!"

That dumbass laughed at me, trying to catch up to me.

"You're funny, and interesting," they said, "firecrackers."

At the sound of that weird name, I turned to them and shouted.

"Don't you DARE start calling me that, you idiot!"

In the end, we got to the finish line with just a few minutes left to spare, and I promised myself I wouldn't talk to that weird person ever again.
