sickness (part 2)

On the third day, my mom forced me to go back to school. I started eating a lot of iron enriched foods like Recovery Girl taught me, and I had a little more energy than the last two days. But I didn't feel any greater. The headaches were killing me, and even after taking pain relievers every few hours, I felt as if I was going to cave in at any moment.

I was in so much pain I didn't even have the strength to talk to anyone. I even ate in the classroom because I couldn't stand up and go to the cafeteria. But after school ended, I tried to pack my things to leave, and Bakugou came over to me, slamming his hand against my desk, almost scaring me to death.

"Hey, punk! Why did you skip school yesterday?! Care to explain?!"

But I didn't answer. I just stood up, struggling to get my feet to carry me as I rubbed my aching uterus.

"What's your excuse this time?!"

I stopped, knowing that if I didn't acknowledge Bakugou's presence, he'd keep nagging me. So I simply shot him a dirty look, annoyed.

"What's with that look?" Bakugou raised an eyebrow in question, puzzled, "What's wrong with you? You've been acting weird lately. Don't tell me you're quitting now!"

I grunted, looking down.

"Isn't it a little obvious?!" I screamed, "I'm sick, you idiot!"

I kept on glaring at Bakugou, but he just seemed even more confused than before.

"Sick?" he repeated.

"Yeah. And this time, it isn't some lousy excuse to not train me ass off with you."

"But if you're sick, why are you here? Aren't you supposed to stay home?"

"Believe me, I'd love to," I explained, "But if I keep missing school, I could be expelled."

I coughed a bit, clearing my throat on my way out of our classroom, waving goodbye at Bakugou. But before I could, he barked at me again.

"Make sure you heal yourself up for tomorrow, idiot. If you show up sick again, I'll force you to train even more!"

"Yes, sir..." I saluted, leaving before he could nag me again.
