I recovered from my fight a few hours afterwards, still feeling as though my body had been punched and dragged in different places at once. My friends weren't able to see me, and I was the only one who was hospitalized. It wasn't because of my battle injuries, Recovery Girl told me, but because of my condition. I placed my hand over my neck, looking down at my other hand as my mind wandered from a different place than the infirmary.

The next day, my mom called the school saying I wasn't able to attend classes that day because I had gotten very ill. I was hyperventilating when I woke up and couldn't breathe, feeling I'd die if I tried to do anything that required me to run.

Though just when I thought I wasn't going to see anyone from school that day, Sensei wound up in front of my house saying he needed to talk to my mom. I asked what was up, that I could just give his message to her later, but I wish I hadn't; because what Aizawa said next almost broke me.

"(l/n)," he sighed, concerned, "Your quirk is extraordinary indeed. But having power isn't the only thing a hero has to have; you also need to stay on your feet even after your fight has ended."

Aizawa avoided my look, staring at the ground.

"It's true that you won against Vlad King in the Practice Exam. But immediately after, you passed out. And when the teachers thought you collapsed because you stopped eating well, Recovery Girl said it wasn't that that made you ill this time."

I reached out for my neck, but stopped before I could.

"It's something else, isn't it?"

I flinched, looking down at my feet, ashamed.

"(y/n)," Sensei said in a worried tone of voice, "If you keep failing, even if you graduate from UA, you won't be able to become a full fledged hero. We all seem to think that just because we have a cool quirk we'll make it as pro heroes; but that's just not the case."

I gripped my fists tightly, frustrated.

"Your body needs to be strong, too. What good does a powerful quirk do if a hero has a weak body?"

Aizawa went silent for a long time, and when I slowly raised my look to meet his eyes, he sighed.

"I don't know what's going on, but I hope you can overcome what you're going through so you can join us again in class."

Sensei turned around to leave, walking away.

"I'll be waiting for you along with the others."

After Aizawa left my house, I went back in. I couldn't believe he said that about me! I tried so hard to escape that fact, but in the end it just came to bite me in the ass. I started coughing again when I sat down. I could feel my lungs breaking with every cough, and covered my mouth to try and stop it. After a few seconds, I looked down at my hands and saw that blood was prayed on my palms. I could only stare at them with horror, my hands shaking from fear.
