Everyone was preparing for the Battle Trials that same morning, wearing their brand new hero suits and everything. I was the last one to get there since I had woken up late like usual. I yawned as I slowly walked into the waiting room with the rest. But when I did, everyone just stared at me as if they had seen a ghost.
"Is that... your hero outfit?" the european boy in our class asked.
"It can't be," said another with six arms, "I mean, those are just regular clothes."
"Well I like it!" a boy with grape hair gave me a thumbs up, "It really shows off your curves~"
I looked down at my own suit, trying to figure out what was wrong with it. I had on a black jacket that covered my naked shoulders and wore a white t-shirt underneath with a matching white web belt tied around my black cargo pants. These had three pockets on each side, great for storing things like snacks and weapons. I then gawked at my black boots, but knew they weren't what people were staring at. What probably stood out the most from my outfit were the pure, silver chains that hung around my pants and jacket.
I sighed, relaxing my hands over my head.
"This is my hero costume," I said as I rolled my eyes, "I designed it myself. It's simple looking because I don't wanna be that flashy."
I was teamed up with the european and the alien, pink girl; the heroes. They introduced themselves to me, but I quickly forgot their names. We were going to fight against a guy with full lips and a guy who only spoke to his animals, and since there were more of us, we were given less time to complete our task.
As all of us waited for our battle to begin, Sensei walked up toward me with a cautious eye.
"This is a battle trial, (l/n)," he declared, "I advise you to take things seriously from now on."
I reassured him I wasn't going to do anything rash, but when our fight began, our team broke up and I was faced with the sugar man. I walked up toward him, slowly, and looked at him up and down before relaxing against one of the walls of the building.
"What?" he gasped, "Why won't you fight?"
"I'm sorry," I apologized, "but I only fight people who interest me. Don't get me wrong; you seem like a really talented person. But I'm not really in the mood to fight, either."
After that, we all heard Aizawa in the mic, grunting.
"(l/n)! This isn't a test! You can't just quit right when you're facing your opponent!"
I dragged my back against the wall and sat down on the ground, yawning.
"I can't believe I woke up early for this..."
In the end, our team lost, and the european and alien girl both secretly blamed me for it by the look in their eyes when they saw me. In my defense, they were still able to defeat them since there were two of them and two villains. But I guess I should've done something to help out, too.
