*group chat with the bois*Jaxon: what's the plan tonight then boys
Thomas: I heard there was a motive at Mason's tonight
Matty: that means Elle will be there we have to go!
Jaxon: I'll see if the girls can get us in
Thomas: yes jax
Thomas: Levi you down? You need to get out bro!
Levi sighed as he read the group chat, turning his head into his pillow and letting out a groan. He couldn't decide on whether he wanted to go tonight. He really didn't feel like it, but did want to mope about over a boy like a little bitch? No.
Before he could even think of a response, his ringtone went off, with a picture of his dad popping up. He had been avoiding his calls all week and knew it was time to actually answer the man. Taking a deep breath Levi accepted the call, putting it on speakerphone.
"Hi dad."
"Levi! Fucking hell, only took 20 times for you to pick up!"
"Yeah, sorry, I got a weekend job so I have to do all my school work during the week so I've been busy." Levi rushed out, deciding not to share the entire truth.
"Thats good! I'm just glad you're been responsible. I spoke to your mum's ward the other day." His dad started with slight hesitance. Levi only hummed in response, not trusting his voice.
"The nurse said that she's doing good. Had a bit of a dip last week but is still on track to be out by summer."
"Oh. She wanted to go to church on Easter Sunday though." Levi replied quietly.
He was so conflicted and overwhelmed by the emotions that tore through him. He loved and missed his mother so much, but after her reaction the other day he couldn't help but be a little relieved that she wasn't being discharged for awhile. This then made his stomach role with guilt, and it was all too much.
"I don't think that's going to happen... I'm so sorry son."
Levi cleared his throat and shook his head, forgetting his dad couldn't see him. "No, no, it's fine. She needs to stay as long as she needs to, to get better."
"I know. Have, have you told her about Grayson?"
"N-no, we broke up."
"Oh. Well I'm sorry to hear that. Are you okay?"
Levi couldn't help but feel a little better, appreciating his dad's concern. "Y-yeah, it wasn't anything serious, so didn't really matter."
"Oh. Okay. Well, you're a good looking boy, you'll find someone."
"Thanks dad...."
"I did tell mum I'm gay though."
"Right."
"She, she didn't take it well." Levi admitted, unable to stop the tear that slipped out.
"I'm sorry Levi. She just needs time. She loves you so much. I'm sure she'll come around."
"Mhm." Was all Levi could offer his father, unable to believe his words. Wanting nothing more to hide under his sheets, Levi needed to end this horrible, emotional catch up.
"Listen dad, I've got to go, but I'll call next week. I promise."
"Okay son, enjoy your weekend. I love you."
"Love you too, dad." Levi mumbled awkwardly, immediately ending the call and tossing his phone on the bed to wipe away the tears that stained his face. Fuck it. He definitely needed a drink tonight. Opening up his friends' group chat, he quickly responded.
